Live 08 Controller Issues

I've had NBA Live 08 (PC) for the past year now. I've been updating it through NLSC for the past 9 months. The latest 2010/2011 roster update I downloaded and used since yesterday. Ever since I did, when i use my gampade (Wired Xbox Controller) The player I'm controlling does actions I dont tell it to. Eg. I dont tough a button and he's all over the place stealing etc etc randomly/. I played with just keyboad so i think it's specifically a controller issue. I know the controller is working fine because I use the same controller with 2k11. I've also tested using the XBCD Utility. I've re-installed live 08 9 times today! Im on my 10th atm.

If anyone has even the slightest idea any suggestions or resolves are appreciated,

For some reason that will happen to me when i go into the settings during a game.That is why i always make sure all of the settings are where i want them to be before i start the game.Also,if you have a mouse hooked up,then it may be interfering with your controller.You could also check to see if you have the latest drivers for your controller.

Thanks I'll try that. Well I re-installed win 7 I'm back to 64 bit version now. Hopefullt things work this time.

I didnt at all suspect it to be an update related issue. It was just said, and I got it fixed could you believe it was resolution related? 0.0 my screen resolution was too low i guess, after i chose the resolution i used to use 1280x1024 everything worked fine again.
