You can't. ME2 has less play time than FNV. But I'm certain that you'll both like 'em.

So much gaming on my plate now. Looking forward to returning to my New Vegas character this weekend - finishing the NCR and Yes-Man missions (besides the final one), then moving on to the DLC's.

Meanwhile, I've started inFamous. Was struggling with the early difficulty and lack of gore but I'm digging it now. Getting a JSRF vibe for some reason - probably because they ripped off the black DJ from that. Then, I got Wipeout and which ever game Gamefly sends me next on the side.

I didn't like RDR as much as anyone else, and as such, the bulk of my time was spent creatively murdering horses (tying them to train tracks, riding them into canyons, shooting them in the head while they gallop, etc.)

And critics say video games aren't a good outlet for emotions. How wrong they are.

You don't even want to know what Lamrock does to horses in real life.

Or maybe you do?

Knowing Lamrock we can be sure that he gets them drunk first, before he does what he does to them.

Mass Effect 2. Its fun but I really have to force my brain to pay attention to the details in the game like upgrading items, making sure to talk to everyone. I havent really played many RPGs before and if I overlook the detailed aspects of the game ill probably be missing out on most of the fun

BTW, for those who have played.

Is it the smartest for me to ask another character all possible questions from the dialogue options if I want to maximize the chance of increasing the knowledge Shephard has of wtf is going on?

EDIT:
PS. Im really starting to get into it now. It was just a matter of starting to understand the interface and settling in

Not really. Some NPCs do have side quests that gets unlocked only when you talk to them.

Besides, talking to everyone and choosing all the dialogue options is standard RPG fare.

Just finished The Witcher 2. Fantastic game, but a pretty uneven gaming experience. The story is good but it seems unnecessarily complex at times, or at least badly explained, like you don't have all the information needed to fully understand.
Also, the leveling system is a little strange, making the progression not very smooth. At times, you'd gain 3 levels after completing a single main quest-related mission, and at times it takes forever to level up just once.
Still, quite a unique game, I'll do another playthrough with different paths pretty soon.

I checked my 360voice account for the first time in a while, it tracks how often you play games, get achievements, etc. For those curious, here are my Top 13 played games.

LA Noire's easily my pick for game of the year thus far - probably because I've only played like 2 or 3 games from this year so far. The controls feel clunky at first, but it's a fun, unique game that I sank six hours into yesterday (still waiting for some person to call me back for a job...)

Will be interesting to see if more developers use their face mapping. It's always fun to watch for familiar actors in films and I've enjoyed counting the Mad Men cast members I've encountered (3 so far)

Peggle's fun. Can't imagine why one would play it on a home console but it's a great handheld game

I got it during one of the 50% deals for it. Well before we owned a iPod touch or knowing there was a PC version...

My brother in laws play it online, so its fun to hop on with them and play against randoms on XBL. (you play simultaneously, fixed amount of balls)

Honestly, most of those days played are Kathryn, before she got her own screenname. Still a really fun game though.

Got hooked on inFamous. Brilliant move by Sony making it one of the Welcome Back games because it's awesome and totally makes me want the second one.

And today I completed LA Noire. The first few cases were fun, but the gameplay got extremely grating. Thank god the story was so good. The experience was an interesting one, for better or worse. The flaws were numerous - it was a sandbox with no sand (decent side missions or life in the huge open world), the cover based shooting was boring and easy, scouring crime scenes was more than a little tedious and it was too long. However, I haven't enjoyed a game's atmosphere/story this much since Bioshock.

All in all, glad I played it, but I never EVER want to touch it again.

I liked it, as it was one of the best stories I've seen in a game. Gameplay wise I didn't care too much for it, since you didn't have to do much. And when you had to, it was fairly easy and tedious most of the time. They made a good job of making the story that much more interesting when the cases are supposed to get less exciting though, and honestly, approaching the end of the game I was actually looking forward to the next cutscene, rather than the next gameplay sequence.
