this talk of the miami heat will win next year. i don't know who's starting this- media or what. maybe it's ESPN since they are trying to cover their asses with the "all-in" mentality that benji was mentioning. whatever. quit it already. we have no idea what the salary structure will be after the possible lockout. as it stands miami does not have a lot of cap room to work with and miami is not the only destination for ring chasers. perhaps there's a growing sentiment amongst the players not wanting to see the Boshketeers win a title??!! and we've seen dynasties crumble down even before they got started- mid 90's Orlando Magic. could this be Nick Anderson all over again?? haha

how sad the NBA season is now over. but at least we have the whole offseason to enjoy that backlash against heat. here in chicago the #1 song on 107.5 wgci is a parody of the song YMCA (village people) called 'chris bosh is gay'. worth a google...

congrats to Brian Cardinal and the Dallas Mavs. Cuban definitely perked my interest when he said he's giving something else to his players/organization instead of championship rings

and of course Boston Celts get a break for making their big 3- they beat the fucking lakers. that was good enough for me

I think Shaq bolting for L.A. had more to do with that, they did win sixty games and make it back to the East Finals in 1996 despite Shaq missing a third of the season and Ho Grant missing 20 some games including the last three of the Bulls series.

Offensive. Homosexuals have to go through enough already. They don't need to be considered along with and treated like Chris Bosh.

Since Rick Carlisle won a ring, I get to ask now why did the Pistons let him go?
I thought then that he did a good job with the team, reaching the 2nd round in his first year and then reaching the ECF in his final year, and his firing was a bit sudden.
Did the players hate him, did he hate the players, was he choker like Dirk then, or was it that the Pistons desperately wanted to get Larry Brown even before they hired Carlisle so when the chance to get Brown was available the team grabbed that chance and let go of Carlisle?
Maybe Pistons fans can shed light on my question.

Cuban to Perot: Mavericks run just fine, thank you

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban filed what can perhaps best be described as a “told-you-so” document in court Wednesday against Ross Perot Jr.

In a four-page court document, Cuban attorney Thomas Melsheimer of Dallas rebutted allegations by Perot and his Hillwood Investment Properties III Ltd. that Cuban was mismanaging the Mavericks to the brink of insolvency and, perhaps, beyond.

Exhibit A: A color photograph of Dirk Nowitzki(notes) hoisting the NBA championship trophy while surrounded by Cuban and his teammates.

Best evidence ever?

The Mavs can be winning championships and still be losing money.
Still, well played by Cuban.
On Wednesday, in a court filing that refers to the team throughout as the “World Champion Dallas Mavericks,”
Talk about rubbing it in.

Good job Cuban. Hope he wins and let this be the lesson to other money first owners out there. Still don't like characteristics but whatever. He's a good owner who's passionate about the sport and his team.

Hope someone always eliminate LeBron after this. Not the Heat.

What a great parade in Würzburg for Dirk. A whole lot of fans and a really funny press conference. Great to see some Germans actually interested in basketball.

Did they invite Jason Terry? He carried that choker after all.

Then they should've invited LeBron, too. I kid because I love, of course.

LeBron James has never lost in the first round especially not in the same year he won the MVP.

Which is the ultimate shame.

Plus Dirk is a gigantic bigot who basically wants the right to rape women: http://www.mavsmoneyball.com/2011/6/28/ ... instead-of
