Sounds good to me. Maybe Cavs will retire my jersey number (6) before Lebron's

Interested to see if Danny Granger can continue his strong play. Originally when I saw the deal I was like arggh, Chinese rookie SF Jin Lam is averaging 17ppg & on his way to Rookie of Year honours. I'm hoping they play next to each other in frontcourt next season, or maybe Granger can slide to SG.

Stunning turn of events. Truly the sim engine run amok. Shame you didn't qualify for the post-season. You could have very well won it all

 I was thinking the same thing, especially after Utah shocked OKC. I was thinking that should've been my series win. Although somehow I think if I had made it to the Finals I would've also lost to the Cavs

I think Cavs just caught lightening in a bottle like RL Grizz. Major difference is the brackets opened up for Cavs.

Yep, NLSCers have stunk it up, although most seem to have improved to a few rating points over the summer and should hopefully be more productive.

The more hate from Wilt's Trans-Tasman rivals will only make Wilt stronger.

Re: X's T'wolves Association (NBA 2K11): 2012 RETIREES

Postby The X on Sat Jun 18, 2011 2:58 pm

Image 2012 OFF-SEASON RECAP - RETIREES

NO KIDDING, IT'S TIME TO CALL IT A DAY

PG- Jason Kidd, Dallas
Career Stats: 18 seasons, 13.3ppg, 6.6rpg, 9.2apg, 2.0spg

Image

A title just wasn't meant to be for one of the all-time great point guards, Jason Kidd. At age 39, after playing playing 18 seasons with Dallas (two stints from 1994 to 1996 and 2008 to 2012), Phoenix and New Jersey (0 titles in 2 Finals appearance) and earning 10 All-Star berths along the way, Jason Kidd is quietly exiting the game of basketball once and for all. He will leave so as the sole inductee of the 2012 class to the NBA Hall of Fame.

Kidd entered the league as a dynamic passer who was a breathtaking performer who played hard at both ends of the court. Kidd came very close to a title with New Jersey in 2003 (after the Lakers smashed them in 2002) but never came close again with either the Nets or the Mavs.

OTHER RETIREES

Here is a list of the other players who also called it a day following the 2011/12 season:

C- Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Miami (two-time All-Star goes out a year after picking up his first and only title with Miami)
SG- Raja Bell, Phoenix (he finishes his career with the team he had his best memories, but is best known for his fiesty battles with Kobe Bryant)
PG- Eddie House, Miami (won two titles as a key spark off the bench for Boston and Miami)

Here is a list of accomplished coaches who recently retired:

Larry Brown, Charlotte (won his only title with the Detroit Pistons in 2004)
Doc Rivers, Boston (a surprise early retirement for the coach who led the Celtics to the 2008 title so he could spend more time with his family)

Agreed. Given how the playoffs opened up in my Association this season, it saddens me that Mavs sold out on Kidd in his final season. Whilst being top 2/3 Western team all year, they traded Terry to Pistons in a deal that netted them Charlie Villanueva & Tracy McGrady. They were never the same after that :(

Hmm, not one of virtual Cuban/Donnie Nelson's finest moments there.

I have a feeling it's going to get a lot worse. I think once Nowitzki retires they'll be back to their cellar dwelling ways of the early 90's.

Yup, definitely a good thing that he avoided being another "John Stockton". Great point guard with no ring :|
