so history says this series is over right? mavs have to win the next 2 to even think about having a chance to win. maybe the mavs bench should start playing since that was supposed to be where they had the advantage

poke on the eye is not a joke.. I'd rather hurt my leg/feet than my eye :cheeky:

Yea I've been poked in the eye or more like smacked in the eye on a foul before to the point where my eye was bleeding and blackened. Painful memory. It hurt like a bitch but I didn't act like he did. I even got it patched up and continued to play. After the game had to go to the hospital to get it stitched and where some type of special goggles for about 2 weeks. The most you could see wrong with Bosh's eye was swelling. When a person gets poked in the eye they are not going to fall on the floor rolling around. They might run or walk back to the other end holding their hand over their eye.

strongly disagree. I'm sure Bosh will be just fine by the end of the series. I'm still not 100% from a "minor to moderate" ankle sprain from nearly six months ago. Case closed.

For people who are going to give me shit about this, I'm not downplaying Bosh's injury, but it's not like he can't see at all. His eye is just swollen. Welcome to allergy season.

poke in the eye really hurts but recovers quickly.. I mean he adds flopping too to get a foul but it really hurts him.

This.
Being poked in the eye really hurts but you don't roll around like a bitch when it happens.
Maybe Bosh thought he was on fire so he dropped and rolled.

If Bosh's eye injury was really that bad, there's no way he'd have played out that game. Ask Amar'e Stoudemire, who required season ending surgery a couple of years back and will be wearing his protective goggles for the rest of his career as a precaution. Or better yet, ask Allan Ray.

Now that's a gruesome eye injury.

Dirk's injury is hardly being "overplayed". No one's making an excuses over it, or going overboard and calling him courageous for playing with it though, drawing comparisons to Willis Reed or what have you. Getting poked in the eye isn't exactly pleasant but aside from initially rolling around on the floor looking for a whistle (that he admittedly probably should've got, they usually do call a foul on that), Bosh didn't exactly show any ill-effects from it.

Dirk didn't choke. Like has been said, you can only hit so many big shots.

Just ask Kobe,

(Even if we don't win it all, a very memorable season for Mavs history)

I refuse to recognize in-betweens. It's either Dirk made the shot and was clutch or missed it and is a choker, which happens to be the latter.

I do hope Mav fans realize the more they taunt Kobe and the Lakers the more they are hurting their chances of making it back to the finals. Kobe is going to come back with a vengeance and yes you guys are first on his hit list. Kobe never forgets. He will always get his revenge. Don't think for one second you guys are off the hook.

If the Mavericks lose the NBA Finals Dirk is going to go down in history as the greatest choker of all time. Maybe in all sports. There is no greater shame than not having a ring and losing TWICE in the NBA Finals. It's the Scarlet L of the NBA.

It's the reason Karl Malone, Jason Kidd and others will never be considered Hall of Fame players by actual basketball experts.

Actually Alt, I know Kobe's coming back. he always does. dirk's at a 50/50 w/ made & missed shots. He's missed more playoff clutch shots, than regular season ones, & for the last time, I think Kobe's one of the G.O.A.T,. And is one of the greatest scorers in history, how does that not put him in the Hall Of Fame by itself?

Ok, Maybe maybe it didn't hurt Bosh that much for him to hug the ground, but as a professional athlete, it's only normal to act that way. It's part of "Where my call at?" and "Ref, you owe us a call" thingie. And he's definitely no Barea when it comes to flopping. I know... I am only hating him for his gf...
