It's not duplicate players you're looking for, it's duplicate IDs. You should only be transferring over the players like Dumars and assigning them a new ID if their ID is the same as a player in the destination roster.

Did you also copy his entry from appearance.dbf?

At this point, I think it would be much easier to create the players you need in the new roster, using the data from the retro roster.

Create the necessary players, then edit their data accordingly afterwards.

No.

Create them in-game, save the roster, change their data as necessary.

If you create the player in-game and in order for the cf's to appear you have to:

1.Open players.dbf and change DELETED and ISCREATED to False.
2.Make a PLAYERPKG name.Example:If you are going to use Joe Dumars then you would put the PLAYERPKG as jodumar. The PLAYERPKG needs to be the same as your players cf.
3.Write down the PLAYERID of that player.
4.Then open appearance.dbf and search for the PLAYERID of your player. It will most likely be at the very bottom of the list.
5.Change DELETED to False. And change FACEID to -1.
6.Close and check in-game if it worked.

Remember to always back-up your files before doing anything just in case something goes wrong.
As for the data, you are going to have to change that in-game before you change the other stuff i listed.Or you can change it in dbf commander but i think that is too much of a hassle.

It might be worth checking. Try downloading and installing the latest drivers for your video card.

You're welcome, hope you can get it sorted out. Depending on who set it up, they might've skipped a few steps or not done a thorough job installing all the latest drivers so yeah, it's worth checking out.
