NLSC Prediction Winners

Well I decided to make note of the winners and losers in their predictions. If I seem a little too tough, take it personally and reconsider making your picks next year! Starting with MIP:

i agree all the things,but i think darius miles will win most improved player award,because he worked hard all summer long.
he´s shot is way better than it was last year.
i think he will win it,but who knows .

Sorry LeBron. Not even close, but he had a good second half of the season for Portland.

Miles has improved but he ain't getting any awards this year..ill put my money on Dunleavy Jr. or Kirilenko also Antonio Daniels is worth mentioning!

Eddy Curry - I think he may become a 20 and 8 player

MIP: Kwame Brown...As I have said for a long time...only if he has a BREAK-OUT season! If not...Dunleavy Jr. should have one this season!

Most Improved Player: Someone?

Man, OSF. Dead on. Good prediction!

Most improved player: Definitly Zach Randolph, the guy is a 20points 10rebound player, he showed last year that he could do that when he got the minuts, and this year, he will get the minuts.

Let me say this: a player doesn't improve if he gets 8 points and 5 rebounds in 17 minutes one season, and gets 16 points and 10 rebounds in 34 minutes the next season. although the nba might vote this way, it doesn't work like that. gilbert arenas didn't improve enough to win MIP last year.

fav candidates for most improved are
ronald murray
maybe yao ming. he has worked out and is stronger and his stats and game show it.
maybe ron artest. hes no longer a role player. hes a cornerstone of the pacers now and has improved a lot
manu ginobili. worked his way up to a starter and showed many that he deserved that role.

It's kinda funny to see everyone type LeBron in the color white.

He could become a star (who knows how big.. could be at the lesser level like Jalen Rose, Mashburn, etc, or bigger) but I doubt straight away.

I think he will have a few promising seasons, then a breakout season when he fully gets used to the NBA game and reaches his full potential. Kobe has been in the league for 7 years and he still getting better.

I'm afraid of when he makes his break-out season now...

He's not too overrated but he'll don't expect him to be MJ in his prime when he plays his first game. He might have some rough starts but I think he'll do fine once he develops his strengths.

I think Lebron will average around 25ppg, 11rpg and 9apg and 5bpg, but that's just my opinion. It's based on air. Lebron will achieve all this as a rookie because he'll play 43 minutes a game.

He played almost 43 minutes, but you were just slightly off...

He will average 36 ppg, 13 apg, 11 rpg, 3 spg, 2 bpg and win mvp, roy, dpoy, and make nba team, dplayer team.

You are just a little more off, but he did get ROY.

155 points a game, 109 rpg, 112 apg, 100 bpg and last but not least 103 steals for quick hands

I kinda get the feeling that Lebron isn't going to have as bad a first year as we think. He's going to get tons of minutes in Cleveland...his new jump shot looks good...and he's got plenty of bulk to withstand a beating. I think he's going to beat Carmelo for Rookie of the Year...and make a bigger impact than Amare did last year.

He's not going to be as good as some of the hype suggests. I doubt his numbers will exceed or equal his numbers in high school, at least in his first few seasons in the NBA. I think he'll bring back the kind of rookie season that's been missing for some time ie. numbers that still look good compared to more established players.

I definitely agree with you...I didn't mean to imply that he's going to average 25, 6 and 6 next year or something. I just think he's going to be a factor for the Cavs. Something like 15 points, 5 boards and 3 assists is closer to what I had in mind.

I'm predicting closer to 19 ppg, maybe close to 6 boards. I'm thinking he might have a season similar to Jamal Mashburn's rookie year.

Not bad. Off by 2 points, like .3 of rebounds and you left out the assists.

Amare had the best recent season straight out of high school with 14ppg 9 rpg. I think LeBron will score something like that, maybe a bit less. His assists and rebounds I'd predict around 3 a game for both, and one steal a game too.
