if the Cavs draft me...i'm torn...

BD as my running mate, Parker should be gone so the spot is mine...

Valdis, I'm gonna sign Perkins :) Yes you are in the draft, I think you're projected to go 19th or 20th.

Martti., Wish you the best of luck

KidJustin, Yes that's the pick of Clippers, Parker is retired and he's traded to Dallas before.

dare, New Jersey? Why? Lakers will not have a first-round pick this year.

Thierry •, Green morale went down and I can't stand to play with him anymore, as so as Thabo. I'd like to focus on Ibaka and Harden (Y)

Thierry •, Swagger! I think I'll edit Evans position to only SG now. So you can start (Y)

Axel., Very ironic indeed. I think yes, your rating is better than Ish Smith though.

KidJustin, Another SG. I think an athletic one. Thierry's draft stock rises maybe because of the workouts?

Thunder Up! - Justin KidJustin Interview

Postby Justine. on Tue Apr 26, 2011 10:18 am

NBA DRAFT '11 Interviews with Jalen Rose: Justin KidJustin of the Cleveland Cavaliers

Image
KidJustin from Cal Poly has just been drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 8th Pick of the 2011 NBA Draft.

Jalen Rose: Well first off, welcome to the NBA. Tell me your thoughts about your new team.

KidJusitn: Thank you Jalen, I am very excited to have this oppotunity. When I first found from my agent that the Cavs were seriously looking into me, I did have my worries.

JR: Really, why would you say that?

KJ: Well, I was worried about the status in Cleveland with the LeBron issue and all. I didn't want any of that to cloud my career early on. But after my workout with the coaching staff and getting comfortable with the city, I began to change my mind and warm up to the feeling.

JR: So you have to opportunity to play the backcourt with veteran Baron Davis. I was told he was like and idol to you growing up.

KJ: Yea, he was actually one of the guys showing me around the city. We are both LA guys, so he really knew all the places I would be interested in. Him alone was one of the reasons why I was excited about joining this organization.

JR: That's good, that's good. Have you gotten to know anything thing else about your teammates?

KJ: I only met a few of the other guys, but I'm really looking forward to playing with JJ [Hickson]. He's another young guy I think will help turn this franchise around.

JR: So what do you think you will be able to bring to the fans of Cleveland.

KJ: Excitement Jalen. Excitement. We are going to bring the fun back to the Q. With Baron throwing no-look dishes, all I have to do is drill and thrill! Baron and I am going to run the show like we are back on the streets of LA. We are going to play fast and we are going to play hard. Think of LeBron James, only as a team player.

JR: Wow that is a big statement there. Well I wish you good luck as we got back to the podium where David Stern will name the next pick in the draft.

----------------------------------------------------------

[..6 draft picks later..]

The Cleveland Cavaliers have drafted SG Donovan McCloud fomr Baylor.

Sources have said that KidJustin, who was just drafted by the Cavaliers with the 8th pick is very upset about this selection, as he thought they [the Cavaliers] thought that he was going to be their man at shooting guard and that they would use their other lottery pick to fill needs at other positions.

McCloud was originally on the Cavaliers radar with the 8th pick, but after an outstanding workout with KidJustin, they decided to select the guard from Cal Poly instead. Since McCloud was still available by the time they were on the clock again, GM Chris Grant felt that they had to take him.

Sources close to KidJustin have said that he does not want to split minutes with McCloud at the starting shooting guard position. Saying, "McCloud better be ready for scrub backup minutes because if they think they are going to give my minutes to McCloud, they got their heads in the clouds!" Some sources also said that KidJustin has given the Cavaliers and ultimatum, him or McCloud.

KidJustin made it, so all of you guys can also send article or anything about your players (Y)

Thunder Up! - Julian Martin

The First Full-Blooded Filipino in the NBA: Julian Martin

NEW JERSEY -- He will be the first ever full-blooded Filipino who will take his dreams to the big league, he's Julian Martin, a shooting guard and quietly made a name in the international leagues for quite some times. Scouts however never trusted his potential nor skills. In the NBA Draft, Martin went from second round to lottery, a stunning surprise. Julian Martin is projected by the scouts to go early in the second round but months has passed and Martin made great improvement.

“I don’t know why the scouts rank me that low. Maybe it’s because of the incident that happened last year in some tourney. They said that I’m just a shooter but their wrong, I like to think myself as an all around player.” Martin explained. The Filipino native was involved in a brawl last year in a league against the Japanese player who made it to the NBA last season, Eiji Sawakita. After this event, the NBA rejected Martin petition to enter the 2010 NBA Draft, he worked hard by then and really showed the dedication to play in the NBA and it turned out great.

He sure is an all around player and that what the New Jersey Nets have seen during their workout. A deadly shooter and can shoot the lights out if you leave him open. During a 5 on 5 scrimmage Martin finished with 3 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Considering that it was only a race to 11 match he posted up good numbers. After that he was called back to played 1 on 1 against Anthony Morrow where he win big time. With a great workout the Nets without doubt drafted Martin as the ninth pick.

When asked what will he bring to the Nets? Martin proudly said. “I will bring Carmelo with me.” Or maybe Martin will bring back the glory days to the Nets and will not be needing 'Melo afterall?
