ohlast week i reailzed i've already "completed" the historic race. i don't remember doing it, but i managed a silver in the 1st race and a bronze in the cote d'azur race with either my old corvette or old corvette race car. they called it complete even though i didn't get golds.
i was considering trying to level up to race the laguna seca 200 mile race. how long do you think it would take to do the race in the red bull car?
Fri Mar 11, 2011 4:14 pm
Around one and a half to two hours I think. I just listen to music to make the time go by quicker.
Mon Mar 21, 2011 5:46 pm
I just finished the Suzuka 1000km endurance race.
4 hours, 23 minutes. 345,000cr. 1.2m experience. Up to level 32 A-Spec now.
Also won this car.

Some guy has found logos for 25 tracks that aren't currently in the game on the remote racing website.
No indication that they'll be added to the game though, but it certainly would be awesome if they were made available through future updates.

3. Apricot Hill
4. Citta di Aria
5. Costa di Amalfi
6. Grand Canyon

Thu Apr 14, 2011 7:25 pm
i don't think it means anything. that just looks like a list of tracks from GT4 that are not in GT5.
Sun Apr 17, 2011 12:35 pm
Maybe. We can still hope though.
Here's the original article:
While poking around the Remote Racing section of the official GT5 “My Home” website, GTPlanet user Yonis made an interesting discovery: the site has been loaded with 24 logos for tracks which aren’t currently playable in the game.
Here’s how he did it (hint: the images are publicly available on Polyphony Digital’s web servers if you can decipher their file names), and here’s what he found:
1. Super Speedway
2. Driving Park (20r60r)
3. Apricot Hill
4. Citta di Aria
5. Costa di Amalfi
6. Grand Canyon
7. Hong Kong
8. Ice Arena
9. Infineon Raceway
10. Driving Park (Kashiwa)
11. Las Vegas
12. Midfield Raceway
13. Twin Ring Motegi
14. New York
15. George V Paris
16. Opera Paris (Tarmac)
17. Seattle Circuit
18. Seoul Circuit
19. Swiss Alps South
20. Tahiti Maze
21. Valencia Circuit
22. El Capitan
23. Cathedral Rocks (Dirt)
24. Cathedral Rocks (Dirt Mini)
25. Cathedral Rocks (Dirt Short)
Yonis pointed out these images are accessible under a GT5-specific image directory on the gran-turismo.com website (…/gt5/remote_race/common/courselogo/) and sized appropriately for the GT5 remote racing site. It should also be noted the tracks above have never been seen together in any GT game – Valencia was not in GT4, while Hong Kong, Las Vegas, and George V Paris were absent from GT PSP.
It is impossible to know exactly what these images are doing on the GT5 web site, though it’s tempting to speculate… El Capitan has already been seen in Gran Turismo 5 via the accidentally-leaked Red Bull “Horse Power” trailer, so we know at least a few of these updated circuits must be floating around Polyphony Digital’s offices.
Whether or not they’ll be coming in future updates to GT5 – or if they’ll be saved for Gran Turismo 6 – remains to be seen. Regardless, kudos to Yonis for this discovery, and thanks to Dylans1o for the tip!
***UPDATES***
Yet another track logo for “Super Speedway” has been discovered on the site, bumping the total number to 25. This logo is particularly interesting as it represents a circuit not seen since Gran Turismo 3. GT4 and GT PSP instead used Twin Ring Motegi’s actual “Super Speedway” and represented the track with Motegi’s logo. Though the overall shape of the
original course (it was in
GT2 as well) and the
Motegi course are the same, their surrounding backdrops were very different.
There have also been questions about when, exactly, these image files were uploaded to Polyphony Digital’s servers. As noted by user MitsuStigi in the comments, this information is revealed in the image’s HTTP response headers, many of which show a date of March 9, 2011 or January 28, 2011. The Remote Racing website was launched with
GT5 v1.06 on February 18th.

Indeed.

Finished the Nurburgring 4 hour endurance race last night. Only had to 'race' for 3 hours though because I was that far ahead.
Up to level 34 A-Spec. Not sure if I'll get bored enough to do the 9 hour at Tsubuka though.

http://www.gtplanet.net/gt5-spec-2-0-is ... to-follow/The GT community has been eagerly awaiting news of the next significant update following last month’s announcement hinting at new content and features for us this fall. According to a very rare English-language tweet from Kazunori Yamauchi this morning, that new content and features will be a “Spec 2.0″ update to the game in October and downloadable content shortly after:
GT fans, thanks for waiting… The GT5 Spec 2.0 update is coming the 3rd week of October, with DLC following a week later.
There is no news yet for fans regarding exactly what the Spec 2.0 update will bring nor the nature of – or the price of – the DLC to follow, but GTPlanet will report this information when it is revealed…
Exciting news, possibly. Obviously can't get too hopeful until they release details of what will be added to the game though.
Some new premium cars would be nice. New tracks would be even better. Would love to see Spa added.
Or some Formula One circuits like Melbourne, Canada, Abu Dhabi, Valencia, Catalunya, Silverstone and Sao Paulo.

Exciting news. I expect it to bring a lot of GT4 tracks back and make a couple patches worth of improvements. Won't compete with 4za though.

Wed Oct 05, 2011 10:30 pm
I think I have it....not sure though. I think there is a PS3 underneath all that dust but I'm too scared to check.

It's almost like getting 800+ new cars. Can't wait to find out what the DLC will be too.

Thu Oct 06, 2011 3:20 pm
They put so much work in to the interiors and premium car models only for me to spend most of my time driving standard cars in the bumper cam they've had since the first game.
Thu Oct 06, 2011 4:53 pm
yeah honestly i'm a fan of the close 3rd person view which most people can't understand, but i've been playing driving/racing games for fucking forever and most of them back then were in 3rd person

You may want to start it up next week.
Kazunori Yamauchi wrote:If Sebastian Vettel becomes the winner of the F1 World Championship title in the Oct. 9 Formula 1 Suzuka GP, To commemorate Vettel’s 2 year consecutive world championship title, We’ll give away the “Red Bull X2010 S.Vettel” color, TO EVERYONE WHO LOGS ONTO GT5 WITHIN 1WK FROM VETTEL’S VICTORY…
Pretty generous considering they cost 20,000,000cr in the game and you have to be level 40 to buy one.
Fri Oct 07, 2011 5:27 am
It says "color" not "car" so I think they'll just allow you to paint your car with the red bull logo & colors?
