So it took a favor from a retiring Edge just to convince Vince McMahon to include Christian in the championship picture?

i was assuming ADR was winning at Wrestlemania since they really don't know how to build someone up anymore except by giving em a superman push to the top a la Shaemus. him and swagger have been stuck in the midcard ever since getting monumental pushes to the title.

well being the Royal Rumble winner has something to do with it too. I thought it was a pretty good feud and he was built properly

Del Rio's push was OK, but it still feels like they missed a few steps with him. Not quite as bad as Sheamus but then again, Sheamus worked out alright.

Sometimes that's the way it works, especially with Vince. Bret Hart got his big push when the WWF found itself in a steroid scandal and they were distancing themselves from/on the outs with people like Hogan and Warrior.

I agree too, his build was way better than what they did to Sheamus and Swagger. McIntyre's and Ziggler's push died instantly.

The show started with R Truth coming out to the ring and said that he will win the WWE Title at Extreme Rules. Truth says that will fight everyone who challenges him.

John Morrison comes out and says that Truth is not in good shape. Morrison then challenges R Truth for his spot in the WWE Title match at Extreme Rules. Truth accepts the challenge.

John Morrison defeats R Truth with Starship Pain to earn R Truth's spot in the WWE Title match at Extreme Rules.

After the match, Truth turns heel and attacks Morrison. Truth with a long beat down of Morrison and after he is finished with Morrison, Truth lights up and smokes a cigarette.

Cigarettes are PG now? Good for JoMo though

cigs are PG, if this was the attitude era, it couldve been a blunt
dammit i was hoping R Truth would get to be in the main event but at least he's on TV again
lean you quoted the wrong person
McIntyre not as much, but Shaemus, & ADR are the most recent big pushes and i dunno, they went from nobodies to champions within a year (a few months for Shaemus). I mean, they just set up squash matches for shaemus right from the get go and ADR was beating people like Rey as a newcomer. at least with Hart he (like edge) was a tag team performer and a midcarder and an established character before getting a push

With all the anti-smoking stuff in the past 10 years or so, I really can't think of the last time I saw someone smoking on TV (in a new episode) ... nevermind on a "PG" show

They did it last year on an episode of How I Met Your Mother (the entire main cast, for that matter) but I'd say it's a rarity. I guess they can get away with it by presenting him as a heel.

With the WWE draft next week this could be a possible spoiler

As for the smoking in PG programming the movie Rango had characters smoking at least 60 times in the movie.

Cena switching would be good for Smackdown....maybe, if people still care about him.

i forgot about Rango

The Miz isn't afraid of anyone or anything, that's why he dresses that way so he can always be able to enforce his awesome upon the weaklings that are all other men.

i hope its true so we wont hear from him again (as i dont watch SD on a regular basis)
if it does happen, i hope they dont bring him in every week like they did to hype ADR

WWE 2011 WWE® DRAFT TAKES OVER MONDAY NIGHT RAW, Monday, APRIL 25 AT 9/8c

The entire roster of WWE Superstars and Divas will take part in the 2011 WWE Draft next week, April 25, on MONDAY NIGHT RAW live on USA Network at 9/8c.

In a thrilling night of television, all WWE Superstars and Divas, including WWE Champion The Miz, John Cena, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio and Sin Cara along with WWE Divas Champion Brie Bella, Eve and Kelly Kelly could be drafted to either RAW or SmackDown.

After Monday Night’s momentous draft, John Cena could be on “Friday Night Smackdown,” which airs each week on Syfy at 8/7c and Rey Mysterio could be coming to MONDAY NIGHT RAW.

The Annual WWE Draft is a chance to renew old rivalries or have WWE Superstars face off against each other for the very first time, bringing a new and fresh feel to each show.

foreshadowing, anyone?
i see cena & orton going to SD to give it star power and have them feud with ADR
Rey coming to raw to team with sin cara and build him up
Bigshow might come back to raw, although i don't really like his recent character as a face.
and i see SD & raw swapping Eve & Kelly Kelly

Dunno about moving Rey to RAW; the tried that a couple of years ago and switched him back straight away. Though with ADR to be the token Hispanic on SD, it might be different this time around.

so i watched raw. some thoughts: sin cara will get the ADR treatment and is being pushed even though he at times has been shaky in the ring. his entrance is a little risky, i don't know why they do it. he trampolines himself into the ring, but he could get his foot caught on the rope and eat shit. it's the 2nd week in a row he's messed up the finish of his match

last week Primo definitely screwed up which made him fall off the top rope, but that moonsault was all Mistico's fault.

He's just too damn fast for WWE.

I think they'll move Cena or Orton but not both. That way they can give any Cena/Orton programs a rest and have the guys they've positioned as their top two faces each anchoring a brand.

I guess they could just get Sin Cara do his old finisher, some kind of hurricanrana transitioned to a crossface.
