They might stir up with a storyline that Undertaker is pushed to the limit and come WrestleMania next year, the next challenger (might still be Triple H) would point that out.

The dominance of The Miz is so great and more amazing AND MORE AWESOME than anything ever seen before in the sport that they're giving up on the whole wrestling thing:
Vince McMahon wants to take the "wrestling" out of World Wrestling Entertainment.

No, this isn't an outrageous plot the colorful impresario has cooked up for his wrestlers to act out in front of thousands of screaming fans. McMahon, the chairman and chief executive of WWE, wants to give the company a makeover, starting with the name. From now on, WWE will no longer stand for World Wrestling Entertainment. It will just be WWE, plain and simple.
...
But McMahon wants more than men in tights in his life. He wants to grow the WWE through acquisitions and expand its business beyond the ring. In particular, he said, WWE is targeting companies involved in production, live entertainment and branding.

"I think every brand has to re-create itself," he said. "I want everyone to look at us in a vastly different way than they have."

Besides hunting for acquisitions, WWE is moving ahead with long-talked-about plans to create its own cable network for its vast library of wrestling fare. The company has been meeting with distributors including Verizon and hopes to get a channel launched in 2012.

I think they already did. (Besides no more mat-wrestling-based matches, the "wrestling" thing is really gone)

That's Vince for you. It makes sense on one hand given the stigma that's attached to the business, but ventures like the WBF and XFL were tremendous flops. And even with those ventures, Vince has tried to inject elements of pro wrestling. He should stick with what's made him so much money all these years.

Meanwhile, Cole's commentary reaches new depths each week. More and more I find myself just reading the recaps on WNW to keep up to date rather than watching much of the programming. They've overdone it and by not blowing off the feud at Wrestlemania, he's not just the (sorry excuse for) voice of the WWE, he's becoming the show, too.

They couldn't even give us a full one night JR/King reunion on RAW. They could've had Cole beaten up badly at Wrestlemania then sit out at least the next RAW to sell it, but for whatever they're reason they're actually pushing him. At this point he could be effective in a manager role and I think that would legitimise a good portion of his heat, but right now he's just ruining the commentary on every broadcast, even more so than ever before.

Hey guys! I haven't visited to forum for a month because I've been busy at Uni.

Well, I have watched Taker vs HHH and all I got to say is that I was really impressed. I haven't seen a match like that since 2005-ish. Those two guys really took very hard bumps especially Taker. He was really worn out at the end and I wasn't really sure if the ending of him not being able to stand was legit or mix of legit and selling.

The Rock vs Cena at WM28 for me is just too long to wait for. Are they gonna do a year of build up? Like other people said, they should have booked it at Summerslam. Also, will The Rock continue to appear or he'll disappear and show up again maybe during early next year?

As Andrew said, it's a way to write 'Taker out of storyline since he's still injured. But I think that would be a potential storyline for next year's WrestleMania: Undertaker hanging by a thread and his "mortality" is catching up with him. His match with Triple H though, doesn't hold a candle from that vs. HBK at WrestleMania 25 but that's just an overstatement knowing the difference between HHH and HBK when it comes to matches.

Rock vs. Cena at WrestleMania XXVIII only means that Rock will be gone again and come back later. Enough time to make Cena heel (one cane hope) and cut him out of the title picture.

I am not looking forward to a good year of wrestling in WWE since this past WrestleMania isn't really as good as the previous one. If Morrisson or Ziggler or Daniel Bryan (I'd count Drew McIntyre as well) don't get AT LEAST a shot at world title, hell even one reign -- I'll stop watching.

I reckon The Rock will make a few more appearances here and there, with more frequent appearances (live and taped) in the weeks leading up to Wrestlemania 28. It'll be good to have him around, perhaps they could get him to guest referee the main event at Summerslam; if Cena's involved (a distinct possibility), it could be another way to build towards the Wrestlemania match.

Just finished watching Rise and Fall of WCW.......now I know what you guys meant when you were talking about TNA with Russo and Eric. What a mess.
Opinions are my own.

At least Hogan's beyond being an in-ring competitor at this point, so he can't dominate the championship scene. Of course he's still prominently featured on TV, despite his remarks that he was coming in to work behind the scenes.

Looks like TNA might change their name or rebrand their product to distance them from WWE.....bout fuckin time.....hopefully its more wrestling and less stories.

Solid plan, the TNA moniker has always struck me as being a little awkward.

Edge hinted many times before that he will retire one day but it surprised me that he retired tonight given that he was still the champion. Does his contract expire this year? I like Edge and I will miss him.

Apparently he's been feeling some numbness in his arm, not a good sign given his previous neck injuries. I don't blame him for not wanting to take any risks with it, it's a shame he's had to hang it up so abruptly but I'd certainly rather not see him become another wrestling tragedy. I'm sure it was a tough decision but a good one nevertheless. It's a shame we couldn't get one last program with Christian but his health must come first.

Can someone please tell me what R-Truth did to deserve even being mentioned in the title picture?

Definitely recording RAW this week to catch Edge's promo.

He tends to get a pretty good crowd reaction. As such, I think he's one of those workers they'll randomly insert into title matches to change things up a bit but they'll probably never properly build or push him.

That sucks, Edge was one of my favourites for a long time. Lol @ this from Wrestlezone though

So, thank you. Thank you very much. Edge drops the mic, lets out a deep breath and looks around, soaking it all up as the fans get louder and louder. He gets half way out of the ring, pauses, then leaves, slapping some hands on his way by. Up on the stage he poses, fingers pointing high. (I'm in tears).

R-Truth randomly inserted in Cena vs. Miz :lame: , still no John Morrison push sighting.

yeah tough enough was good again. i gotta say it's got something about it that makes me wanna watch. Miss USA maybe? Stone Cold? i dunno yet.

and nice to see R Truth get some face time. he was nonexistant for the last couple months and maybe this is their reward for him accepting that role. yeah there's no chance he wins the title, but it's a nice change. i gotta say there were some pretty good matches this week. i was shocked at how good they were. the isn cara match w/ primo was perfect until sin cara effed up on his 1st attempt at his finisher. nice to see the luchador style again. rey mysterio doesnt really count in that department anymore. it was a nice surprise to see the divas title dropped tonight and the gauntlet was decent until the ending.

and Kong is coming!

and also has anybody noticed that the Miz really hasn't done much to legitimize his title reign? he won the title by winning the mitb briefcase and then retained against The King and then Cena after The Rock Bottom.
