Saw it in a commercial of Manny Pacquiao's fight (hi Lean!).
The joy of watching a dozen commercials after every round.
Sun Nov 14, 2010 9:59 pm
I think it's more than a dozen
Sun Nov 14, 2010 10:18 pm
More like 9.
Each commercial break between rounds lasts 3 minutes (same time as each round

), assuming an average of 20 secs. per commercial, that's about 9.
Those are just the adverts during the break, it doesn't include the ad placements in the replays after each round and the graphics introducing each round which also happen to have adverts inserted.
Oh and the adverts in the bottom screen during the fight itself.
Yeah, more than a dozen.

So, you guys have got to let me know how many of you cannot handle that epicness of chicken and either pass out of have a heart attack after taking 5 steps.

My girlfriends obsessed with the doubliciious. Its like the same thing but on a bun.

I wasn't a fan, but getting the 2 dollar chicken fillets with their signature dipping sauce is pretty sweet

Haven't tasted it yet. I went to 4 stores and they said it was sold out. Even called one far branch to see if they were just messing with me and it's the same, sold out.
KFC here seems unprepared for the epicness that the Double Down brings.
Not hard to believe that it's sold out. It's basically a meal for two to three persons. Buy the Double Down, buy rice outside or cook in home, instant meal. It's the type of cheap food that college students can share the cost with their roommates, damn kids.
Thu Nov 18, 2010 1:09 am
How much that is cost here shadow?
Thu Nov 18, 2010 1:32 am
100 - just the sammich.
115 - plus drink
135 - plus drink and fixin.
Damn thing has its own Facebook page.

You'd be surprised how many people think the blatantly standard American cuisine it serves is natural Australian cuisine. All the Australian themed junk on the walls and words are deliberately intended to mislead.
That just makes me sad. Nothing says Australia like an Alice Springs Quesadilla. A Mexican meal named after a city surrounded by desert in the dead centre of Australia. I think we have like 5 Mexicans in the entire country.
now you know how I feel about "chinese" food places like Panda Express and Pick Up Stix. I tried Orange Chicken for the first time at age 18 and I was confused at how fried chicken drenched in nasty sauce is Chinese food

i just hear these are in australia now
chances are good that im gonna get one today... so excited

make sure you are on the way to the hospital as you take your first bite

One of my mates tried it today. Apparently he wasn't that impressed, he still rates the tower burger better.
Sat Apr 02, 2011 11:50 am
That's it, I'm gonna try this abomination of nature tomorrow, and we'll just see if what kind of stroke ensues. I finally got health coverage, I don't care anymore!
Sat Apr 02, 2011 12:12 pm
Tried it as a sammich on its own, hell I didn't feel good after eating it. The second time I bought it, I matched it with rice to make up lunch. It's actually better that way.
Sun Apr 03, 2011 5:36 am
Finally tried this unholy creation, and aside from the resulting convulsions, there really wasn't anything special about it. That shit was expensive too...
Sun Apr 03, 2011 7:07 am
looking back on my claims of "new favorite fast food sandwich" made me lol
I had one the other week that was just a travesty, burnt chicken, barely any sauce, just nasty and a waste of money.
Sun Apr 03, 2011 8:18 am
I had to complain that there's only one layer of cheese though. But nonetheless that thing will never be purchased again.
Sun Apr 03, 2011 11:18 am
I think I will see if the grilled version is available in my area.
Btw this thing was created for the folks who are going low carb just like me. bliss.
Sun Apr 03, 2011 6:53 pm
they did come out with the Doublicious, which replaces the chicken buns with hawai'ian sweet rolls and only one meat patty in the middle and that comes in a grilled version too
Sun Apr 03, 2011 7:00 pm
That'd be worse than the original sandwich.
KFC pulled the ultimate fake out by making people think the Double Down was some kind of elaborate gluttony when it's better than half the shit fast casual offers.
Sun Apr 03, 2011 10:19 pm
we're in the basketball granny now, so im gonna hold off on eating this til friday - taking this one serious!
Sun Apr 03, 2011 11:08 pm
I love KFC... but I don't know if I will be able to stomach the Double Down. It may happen this week sometime on a lunchbreak. Maybe The X will watch me eat it haha
Sun May 08, 2011 4:46 pm
Just had to try it and I am disappoint. Expected it to be epic in a disgusting fast food sort of way but it was just kinda lame. The chicken buns were lame and not crispy and while I liked the rest of the sandwich, that kinda killed it. Was kinda hard to stomach the last bit, but seeing Big Baby Davis inspired me to finish it.
