ID7 generator for created / generated players

Wed Apr 14, 2004 6:53 am

Hello all,

First of all, I hope I'm in the right Forum-section for this topic.

I've created a small VB6 tool to generate some random (or handpicked) ID7 faces for created or generated players (for those who don't know, those ID7 fields are filled with data like :

What this tool does, is create a similar text, based on the appereances you choose, or you let the tool pick for itself. Afterwards, you copy/paste this text in the right ID7 field and reload the roster/dynasty. (I suggest using Access, because some other dbf editors react weird when using Face9)

I'm also creating a "toolkit" for nba 2004 that will have the tool build-in, but first, I'd like to have some feedback (eg. does it even work on your computer ...)

Also notice, some combinations don't quite work, yet, I'd like to get them fixed, but it's not that easy. (just click the exceptions button in the tool)

you can download the tool at:

If you want the sourcecode, just leave a reply with your email adres (or a pm).

wait so what Exactly does this do for me IN-Game?

If that means that you don't have to use default nba faces for created/generated players, THANK YOU!!! (assuming that they are better.)

Well,

it's something like Gripni said, but it does use the faces used in the Create a Player from NBA Live 2004.
It just enables you to create a cyberface for generated players, whose cyberface you can't edit in dynasty mode, unless you change the ISGENERATE field in players.DBF.

I just thought it might have been usefull if you do alot of dbf editing and don't like going ingame just to create an appearence for a created player.

what's this ""

the string "" can works on players.dbf (field ID7)

to hwwztt: in the players.dbf file, the "" is only used for created players. This string contains all the characteristics you choose when you create a player in the game. the first is the face, the second the hairstyle and so on.

to raptors6thman: thank you and i'm glad it worked for you :)
