After that game against the Cavs, I'm pretty sure Elton Brand is gonna try MMA after retirement. Dude just crushed Jamison in that picture.

Nice win and strong start. Will be following this story for sure (Y)

Melo leads Knicks to 106-101 win

Carmelo Anthony was the man on this evening scoring 39 points with a Field Goal percentage of 55%.

The Knicks who didnt start very good into the season with an average record of 3-3 showed a strong game-- showing a better shot selection and a better effort on the boards than Philadelphia.

Jrue Holiday led the 76ers with 26 points and 8 assists. The next matches wont be easier for the 76ers they meet 3 of the top teams in the Western Conference. The Thunder , Mavs and Spurs.

76ers win after sensational comeback

After a sensational comeback in the third and fourth quarter the 76ers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder and sealed their 2nd road win this season.

The first quarter was dominated by the OKC Thunder and Kevin Durant. Durant scored 18 points until the first half and the 76ers chances faded away.

Again Holiday and Iguodala the successful duet of the last games could turn around the deficit and the 76ers finally won this key game against the Thunder.

Kevin Durant - 27pts 7reb 4ast

Kendrick Perkins showed his tremendous defensice skills, the 76ers offense often despaired on him.

Perk - 10pts 13reb 3blk

The season went well so far- a 4:4 record is what i expected. The games were almost all very close and i was able to fight for the win but sometimes it wasnt enough in the last quarter. This association is much fun for me and a challenge, i hope i can keep it up and make a seed under the top 8 in the East.

This is a preview how the teams started in the 10/11 season.

Thanks, i dont have a "star" i try to get good shots with those 3- Iggy, Holiday and Turner. It works good so far,Elton Brand is a bit disappointing so far- i can remember when i played a Clippers Dynasty with him some years ago. He was selected to the All Star Game and named defensive Player of the year.

Many teams are interested in Andre Iguodala- after the Knicks offered Billups some days ago now the Hawks offer Crawford.

I dont waste thoughts into trades yet, i think for me Iguodala is untradable.

The offer:

Hawks send:

Teague
Jamal Crawford

76ers send:

Iguodala
Battie

Definitely hold onto Iggy!

6-4 is a great start and the team will only get better with Turner and Holiday's development. Sometimes, the best move is no move :)

Also, great assist production from Holiday--definitely wasn't expecting that!

Good decision to hold Iguodala in the team. He is fundamental for your defense. I like that how you using Turner and Holiday. Keep it up! (Y)

Re: 76ers - 9:6 - 76ers preparing for Miami "Thrice"

Postby Nutellar on Mon Mar 07, 2011 10:52 pm

Heya,

i decided to speed things up a bit. As i play at least 1-2 games a day i dont want to get stuck in "everyday" recaps. I will try to set up briefly boxscores for common games and put focus on a weekly highlight game, ie.76ers vs Heat tomorrow.

Here are some short letters about the last 5 games. I came out with a record of 3:2 which is still very good for me. I am preparing for the big game against the Miami Heat tomorrow, maybe i can cause a pleasant surprise.

Image

Not much to say an easy win for me in Cleveland- without Davis and Jamison the Cavs were incredebly bad.

.
Image

Today i faced tremendous playing Raptors, they blew me out with almost 30 points not funny, i lost on the boards this time and had bad shooting.

.
Image

A close win over the Bucks, Holiday made the game winning Jumpshot ! As i already mentioned JH is the man of the last Q. In this game he nearly had a triple double - incredible ! Rose and Wall get some competition here...

.
Image

Superior win by the Wizards- it was not that close as it looks like. Wizards seem to be a strong force in the East 7-6 record.

.
Image

5 point win in Toronto- it seems like i am playing better on the road. Last week in Philadelphia i had no chance but this time i controlled the game.

76ers (9-6) vs Heat (12-3)

The first quarter was what we expected from the Heat, they took the early lead and LeBron James had a superior start in the game. Despite LeBron played with a sprained ankle he came out big scoring 14 points in the first quarter.

Image

The second quarter was a chase by the 76ers, Philadelphia made a 15-2 run and even took the lead with 35-33. After the end of the first half the score was tied.

Image

The Heat seemed to be able to move up just another gear when it was needed. It was a chase by the 76ers the whole game long, evertime they narrowed the gap the Heat scored some more...

Image

One reason for that might have been the strong duo LeBron James and Dwayne Wade- James finished the game with an unbelievable triple double 37pts 12reb and 10ast. Wade almost had a triple double too, scoring 16pts 8reb and 7ast.

On the 76ers side Iggy and Turner convinced- both stayed beyond the 20 points mark and added some rebounds and assists. Thaddeus Young had a strong night from the bench with 16 pints and 4 assists.

A very disappointing performance by Spencer Hawes- in his 29 minutes he scored only 1 basket and grabbed only 1 rebound... (N)

I really like the new format. Tough loss against the Heat, but that Bucks game must have been crazy. It must be nice to have multiple weapons when the game is on the line (Turner, Holiday, Iggy)

Thanks, still working on it. I dont want to get stuck in daily recaps but also deliver much information about player stats and results.

Turner Holiday and Iggy emerging as the three players i can build around. Elton Brand doesnt play that role that he plays IRL, maybe it has something to do with my personal playstyle, Thaddeus Young is pushing from the bench and he already wants some more playtime.

I am considering to emphasize my roster on the Center position in the next season, a dominating force under the basket is what i miss.

Standings East

Image

Heat leading the East- but situation behind is still very close together- with 3 wins in a row the 76ers climbed to position 3 in the East. The 76ers just beat the Nets, Trailblazers and Hawks.
Disappointing so far the Magic and the Knicks, far under the .500 mark and not even on a playoff seed.

last 3 76ers Games:

Standings West

Spurs and Lakers dominating, the Clipppers surprising on P3. Trailblazers very bad holding the last spot in the West.

76ers Team Stats

The 76ers "thrice" Iguodala , Turner and Holiday on the top of the scoreboard. Thaddeus Young had some nice games coming from the bench. Most disappointing Spencers Hawes only 4ppg and 8rpg...

76ers sign Big Rich <> Chris Richard

Image

He might has some weight, but te 76ers gave him the chance to play in the NBA. Richard was drafted in 2007 by the Timberwolves 2nd round 41st ovr pick. He was waived by the Bulls in 2010 and played for the Tulsa 66ers NBA D League.

December started well for the 76ers

Now that the board seem to work well again i am going to give you a small summary what happened so far.

After a surprising loss against the maybe underestimated Charlotte Bobcats the 76ers could keep on to their positive season winning the next two games against Cleveland and the favourated Boston team.

Image@Image

105 - 103

Evan Turners 36 points were not enough to beat the Bobcats tonight.

In a very close game the Bobcats won 105-103-

Stephen Jackson was named MVP 30pts 2ast 5reb 3stl.

Image

Image @ Image

78 - 104

3rd superior win in the 3rd game against the Cavaliers- the Cavs need to continue rebuilding after this season...

Image

Image @ Image

105-107

An important win for the 76ers to secure their first position in the Atlantic Division.

Andre Iguodala was the game winner hitting 2 Freethrows just 1.2 seconds before the end of the Gane.

Breaking News

Philadelphia trading for NBA veteran

Maybe a questionable decision, tonight the Philadalphia 76ers traded Center prospect Spencer Hawes to the Miami Heat in exchange for Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Jamaal Magloire.

Ilgauskas played almost his entire career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he didnt had much playtime for the Heat this season. In Philadelphia he may have a good chance on the starting position.

Spencer Hawes showed very disappointing stats during November:

31.2min 4.0ppg 8.0rpg 1.7apg 0.5spg 1.3bpg

Image

Zydrunas Ilgauskas now with the 76ers.

108 - 91 - WIN

Ilgauskas with solid debut.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas made a high promising debut with the Philadelphia 76ers. He scored 17 points and grabbed some boards in his only 24 minutes playing time. Z is going to share his playing time with Center prospect Maureese Speights.

In all this was an easy win for the 76ers, which settled for one of the top spots in the East.

The Eric Gordon show.

Eric Gordon was the man of the evening scoring 36 points sinking 8 out of 11 threes. !

In all the Clippers made 15 three pointer which led them to a high scoring record of 128 points.

The 76ers were not able to resist and missed a 5 Game winning streak, nevertheless they are still on a good spot in the East staying ob position 3 of the conference.

Young talent Evan Turner again with a huge performance, scoring almost a triple double 24pts 8reb and 8ast.

Ilgauskas may help the 76ers on the Center position in a short run. In the first two games he just showed some more than people expected from him. A dominant performance in the paint and many defensive moves underline this so far. "Z" recorded 5 blocks in the game against the Clippers !
