No passing out of dunks/lay-ups after patch?

Hey guys, i got a lil problem. In My Player nba 2k11, we all know the time when u see ur lay-up become a contact shot and the chance of hitting it is almost 0. I used to pass out to teammate when i saw this happening (i know, a lil cheesing, but my % increased a lot), but after patch it seems that u can't do it anymore. Is it just me? If it is, what do you think i can do?

I've noticed this as well, sort of stinks because that's how a lot of the point guards in the NBA get assists around the basket (jumping in the air usually draws the help defender and then they find the open man), but yeah, it got a bit cheesy at times.

you can still do it, just gotta press pass earlier, anticipate the contact, not so much got hit now pass.

Yeah, i see that, thanks Jao. But also, i noticed that in a 5 on 5 game that's done pretty easily while in my player it's really hard to do. I hope patch 1.2 will address this

You have to pass before or just as you're making contact with the defender, which is a great thing because imo it was far too easy to do this before. Now you have to think a bit more before trying to score because you can't just get out of any situation.

I like this tweak that they made. Pre-patch, it was way too easy to dribble drive and dish out. I think this is more appropriate and realistic.

I need to practice it. I'm always late passing the ball, hence, I'm getting blocked.T_T
