I don't feel too bad about the Battier-Thabeet trade, but I'm not happy about the Brooks-Dragic trade at all.

Andrew wrote:I'd say that's another deal that's more about running a player out of town while still getting a decent one in return

This exactly. And this is why I'm not happy. Brooks is worth a lot more than just Dragic and a late first round draft pick (and the 2011 draft class is weak). The Rockets aka Daryl Morey should have pulled off a much better deal. It looks more like an excuse to get Brooks out of town since he's been whining all season long about his contract extension and etc.

Thabeet has a lot of potential, and if he can improve and be a decent offensive player, this trade will be worth it. I didn't thought the Rockets are this desperate for a big man though. Thabeet was the last player I'd expect them to trade for. In conclusion, the Rockets' trade deadline deals had me going WTF all night long. Not good.

Crazy little fact about this deadline: 21 teams out of 30 were involved in trades during the past 3 days (22 if Mayo trade had gone through).

So who have the Bobcats cut yet? Because the only website (that I've found) saying any cuts have been made is Yahoo Sports and they've said that only McGuire and Collins are gone (not Brown or Marks). Which leaves like 16 players still, not to mention it's Yahoo Sports, so grain of salt and all that. Even the official Bobcats roster page still has all 18 or so players listed.

You know, it's kind of crafty what Jordan is doing. If a team has more players than any other team, they might win more.

Not even close. Suns traded Kurt Thomas & two 1st Rounders to OKC for nothing.

They didn't want Perkins to go for nothing, as they couldn't make a deal regarding an extension, and Nate sucks. Plus, Danny Ainge liked Green, he picked him before shipping him to Seattle for Ray Allen.

Plus, two O'nealss in Shaq and Jermaine are to be back. Still got enough bodies to bang under the paint. Besides, Green makes the team little bit younger. Celtics picked up the great young talent for sure. Of course comes with a bit of risk. As for OKC, they lost a great young talent but paying Westbrook and Durant alone were going to be expensive so Green was eventually gonna be lost anyways. Perkins should give this young team toughness. Will be fun to watch.

Yeah, despite the fact we can upgrade our backup PF in Prince.
