Not really, abit dull really, only worth a look if u dont have the game.

So, how u getting on with the game? I get alot of blue screens, more than i would like really! The mulitplayer boots ME out of every game and everybody out of mine claiming "We are all cheats". The single player game is Fcuking amazing, the "AI" is very very realistic, the interaction with the Mercs is Fantastic , i love it 2 death, I honestly think its the Best game i have ever played. But i cant wait for a couple years down the road, when Farcry is old and long in the tooth, i will be able to sit down with my

and play the game maxed out @ 2048 x 1600 and get 90fps   .

I just saw the video. Very nice (Y)
Although as most of your videos, it didn't download complete... I still saw quite a lot of it. Looked very nice.
You didn't run it at a high setting though... Rather low actually. I got a new computer (Athlon 3000+, Radeon 9800Pro) and run it at a high setting.
It works smooth as hell. Never crashed or any blue screen or anything simular to that.
I once tried to run it at highest possible setting. And it actually worked; Suprisingly well also. It studderd all the time, not any big ones, but they were defenettly noticeable. It looked amazing though :)

Personally, I think it's to hard
I run it at the lowest hardness, and I still have to use a trainer to proceed...
It's realy hard. How far have you come so far? With or without cheating...

It or You didnt complete the download? Theres nothing wrong with the server i check all the links!

I have a P4 2.8 , 1024ddr, TI4800 128mb. Normaly i can run the game Most thing high(limited due to some DX9 features that are not on my GPU) and i get a constant 30fps. When i recorded that vid 2day i had everything down to absolut min so i could play and record with fraps, there should be a replay feature that way i could record at max detail.
Your lucky to be getting No blue screens or crashes, Does your game load from save points every time, this is a problem with alot of ppl. This is my main problem, on the later levels when i exit and then re-enter game and try to load from the last save point it will either crash game or Bscreen comp, i always have to load a different level THEN reload the actual save point that i want, very annoying.

U think tha game is to hard :?: I dont really think so! It depends on your playing style, if u want to lets say "run & gun" you have to be a very good shot and strafe/moving aim, cos the AI is very well written and it will OUTSMART you. It has done me, thats just outstanding, most of the time in general playing a fps is pretty straight forward, u run u hide u shoot u die, u go get a drink or take a piss sit back down for some more of the same. But what makes Farcry so special is, u run...they will chase u, u hide... they will look and find u. What i do when up against patrols out in the open is always take out the leader, there is alway 1 Merc in charge, hes giving them the orders like "flank right" and what not, once u get rid of him the other mercs seperate and are alot easy to pick off. I never cheat, i dont see the point, nothing wrong with that i just dont.

I am stuck for the 1st time on the 8th or 9th chapter, "regulater" or maybe the 1 after that, difficulty set to Challenging with Ai auto ON (Y), and OHHH am i stuck, the stage is absolutly rock solid, Lightly armered guys on the ground and waves of friggin fully armered special forces guys who keep dropping from choppers who are armed to the teeth, im gonna have to drop back a few stages to get some armout and health.
How'D u do with Trigeons?

:new: FarCRY SURPRISE in 1st post

Yeah the 1st vid is at absolute lowest settings and resolution, and it still looks like that. The :new: Vid is very short 18secs and thats at everythin med, which just allowed me to play and record with fraps!

No set release date or Price for the card, i do know its coming out in the next 3-6mths and will probably cost +£400. There trying to blow ATI out the water but i doubt there gonna do it, ATi have the X100(or something) coming out soon. The graphics are Unreal in that Vid, 1 thing that did confuse me was what the guy said about frame rates, he said "the demo was running at 2-5 FPS", but that video was clearly NTSC which is 29.97 FPS, so if the games running at 2-5 fps and its being recorded ar 30 fps there would be a huge amount slow down/stuttering, which there was not, its nothing really...it just confused me abit. The unreal 3 engine looked wicked BTW!!

I dont know about $400, that would make it about £200 and there no way its gonna be that cheap  . The most expensive card out over here is FX5950 which i have seen in a mag for £375, so the 6800 is gonna be at least £400, whch would make that £800 ish, which does not sound right either.

I just sold my Bike for £300 so im about to upgrade..Again, Gonna get a new motherboard, Ram, Tower, Psu. Its the last big upgrade im gonna make to my main machine, but....i want the 6800 when its comes out!

I agree, the 6800U is a damn impressive card :) But why not wait to see what Ati's X800pro has to offer first? The 6800 Ultra is going to be around $499 USD, which is a hell of a lot of money to spend before seeing the competitor's card.
Rumor has it the first R420 is only a 12-pipeline card, but its performance is suppozed to be on par with the 6800 ULTRA while keeping a lower price point. Or alternatively, if you really wanna blow $499, i think you should at least wait to see what the REAL R420 is gonna look like: the X800 XT which is a 16-pipeline card with higher clocks than the 6800U.

bishibashiboy,
how much will that ati card cost? It's looking like September or October till i really get this upgrade anyway.

I've been happy with geforce cards in the past but I'm willing to see what ati can offer especially if it'll be a little cheaper.

Not sure. The info will be released within the next few days when the product is finally released. I'll be sure to let you know then what the suggested price is, but don't expect it to be cheaper by much if at all. By the time you look for a new card around September or October though, there should be a midrange card out based on these expensive ones, so you'll definitely be able to find a good affordable card then. :)

I hope that ATI can bring something good to the table in the next few days. The nvidia card looks pretty good this time around, but a little competition is always good :)
