Hi folks!
I've started a retro project... (tommy shouldn't be angry). This will include retro rosters of 1983-1998. I just need help from you. There will be courts, jerseys, cyberfaces, what can you expect will be at there.
Just I need help on cyberfaces and rosters...
Best regards,
Badger
THE CREW:
1. Badger
2. dwyane2005
3. ize (hope he will help us SOON as he said to me)
Some people whose have works we used now:
1. Bru (Bill Cartwright CF, some courts as well)
2. NBA Live 2004's 1995-96 crew (B.J. Armstrong, Will Perdue and Luc Longley CF)
And the people whom I forgot their names or I don't know them...

I can help you with the ratings, if you like. I will try and do up an archive of potential game values sometime in the next few days. (arcade, realism, ...)

dwayne2005, you can help with ratings? I am making a 2010-2011 roster and I need help with ratings on mainly just the rookies that have been recently drafted this year and people that have been deleted by accident. I could PM the names to you and then you PM back or post in my thread. OK?

Sorry, I can only work with the ratings off of player stats, which I presume is the reason why you need help with the rookies. I haven't got anything set up for generating ratings from NCAA.

OK, but I have a few players already in the NBA that I need to make/remake - can I give you the names and can you help?

I'm not sure how everyone else rates their players, but they probably do it to compliment the original style of Live 2003. I can generate ratings like that, but I've devoted all my attention to greatly reducing the exaggerations in Live 2003. I haven't even experimented around with the one lot of 'arcade' settings I have (and I'm starting to think I need to rethink them), because personally I do not get a kick out of playing computer basketball with players moving about rapidly and doing spectacular moves (in fact, it feels like a waste of time). Plus, it'd lack consistency and objectivity with the rest of the players in your database.

I won't be able to do up anything in the immediate future. I've just been trying to fix up sim ratings and am getting sick of running trials after trials and aborting seasons. I still can't wrap my head around a few things and need a break. For instance, I played a game with the FG ranges 5-30 for a human team. My team shot 42%, which sounds alright, except Kobe shot .300. I tried again and again and Kobe was shooting .300, which also corresponds with a .300 in a full game with Walt Frazier. I changed it to 0-20 and Kobe was shooting above .500 and the team above .600. I think the wideness of the range makes it harder to predict shooting timing between players, so the 20/25 difference is important. I also think the low number doesn't necessarily make it more difficult for shooting, much like free throws: if it's too fast or too slow, they both can be very hard, even though really slow should be theoretically easy; so therefore, having a base of 0 or 20 might not necessarily help, I might have to try the upper ranges (eg. 75-99) too (and would probably help the game by allowing a better range of successful shots). I've got it at 0-27 but while my shooting was okay, I need a full game to know. The computer, meanwhile, shot abysmally even though I lifted their ratings (from 20-45 to 23-50). I am not in a clear headed frame of mind to proceed and need to take a few days at least...
Even though you won't want to use the human v. cpu team ratings, I will be transferring what I learn from this to find an adequate inbetween for the one range fits all calculation.

It isn't broken, people. I've just decided to go with 1993-94 ones, props to Denver Nuggets success on that year. I've started with editing numbers of the players (ex: Mutombo was 0, I edited it to 55). Some of them are done

. What I'm trying to do is the court of Denver Nuggets.
