November 1st 1992 Game 3

Tough defeat

This was the first backstroke for the Bulls this season. After two impressive games against Seattle and Detroit they had to let pass the Blazers today. One of the main reasons for that was the high amount of turnovers on the Bulls side.

The Trailblazers really surprised today, though they had to struggle in the Offseason regrouping an almost complete new team they succeeded today. Kevin Duckworth was named MVP for his performances on both ends of the floor.

Despite this defeat the Bulls still feel much better than last year; "We just have to avoid those stupid turnovers"... "everyone from our team can improve on that position" Phil Jackson said after the game.

November 4th 1992 Game 4

Back to Success

After the painful defeat against the Blazers 3 days before the Chicago Bulls came back to win this evening. Even the first quarter started like the last game ended the Bulls didnt get nervous and played a solid ball game to win their 3rd game this season.

"Today we booked only 11 turnovers, 10 less than against Portland" ..."thats the simple reason we won today"... Jordans voice after the game

Michael Jordan once again had an impressive evening, 47 points 3 assists and 10 rebounds. With theese performances of MJ the Bulls should be able to get back the title to Chicago.

The Knicks where very dissappointed after the game.

Some words from Pat Ewing who had a 24-20 game today :

"We lost the game in the last quarter, ... we were so close to win this thing here in Chicago"...

"... but i have to say i was very impressed of that young Baylor, i think we have a huge talent on him, he made a great game here in Chicago tonight ..."

Thanks, MJ has an opponent his year. Magic Johnson already did 2 Triple Doubles in 6 games. Magis is averaging 20ppg 10apg and 8rpg, so it wont be that easy to get the MVP trophy.

November 5th 1992 Game 5

Smashed in Boston...

After the promising start of the first two games, the Chicago Bulls again had to struggle with many turnovers. This is already the second defeat in the 5th game and authorities are getting nervous in Chicago. Michael Jordan could not carry on the stats he showed against Detroit and New York.
Scottie Pippen was the man for the Bulls today scoring a double double with 30 points and 10 rebounds.

The Celtics convinced with solid execution from the three point line and a low rate of turnovers. Dee Brown was named game MVP , with 27 points 8 assists and 5 steals he showed big numbers today.

November 8th 1992 Game 6

"not in my house"

The Chicago Bulls started their 3 game homestand with a superior win against the Nuggets. With much pressure on their shoulders the Bulls made their 4th win this season.
Horace Grant almost achieved his game stats of the past grabbing 12 rebounds and blocking 5 shots.

On the other side Dikembe Mutombo showed his defensive abilities, he let no room to breathe for Chicagos offense.

This game had a special brisance
, because there were some rumors in the past that the Nuggets wanted a trade with the Bulls but the transaction bounced. The trade was about Mutombo and Grant, but both parties could not find an agreement.

I think a good you should spring for the trade for Mutumbo. He is a great defensive presence and Grant at times is the 5th Option on offense. The Jordan Milestone seems like a good idea.

Thank you, ill need it . I hope at least 6-1 wins

After those first 6 games he is averaging 7 rpg, but there is a big variation i.e. against Detroit he grabbed 10 but against NY only 3 rebounds.

I am also considering changing the quarters to 11 minutes, because on 12 minutes i really have to slow down the game and i am still doing 115ppg and almost 50 rpg too easy.
Maybe 11 minutes would fit perfect to me.

Michael Jordan - Milestone Challenge (contest #1)

20.000 points

Image

In the beginning of the 1992/93 season Michael Jordan had a total of exactly 19.000 career points. I thought this might be a nice issue for the first Contest.

When will Jordan achieve his 20.000th point?

In real history MJ scored his 20000th point on January 8th 1993 in a game against the Bucks in Chicago. He was the 2nd fastest ever to reach this, he needed 620 games. Only Wilt Chamberlain was faster with 499 Games.

Well, here we have a new history, so your task is to guess when Jordan will score his 20.000th point in this Dynasty.

Contest # 1: When will Michael Jordan score his 20.000th career point?

I will give you some hints to make it easier:

- i know it will be a bit tricky, but i think its fun anyway

- in real 1992/93 season he scored 32.2 ppg to that time, so he needed 31 games.
- in this Dynasty he might be a bit faster with that, at the monet he is scoring around 35 ppg
- i use the 10/11 Chicago Bulls schedule
- after the first 6 Games his "milestone count" is at 19221

I will update the "counter" with every recap.

You only have to send in the date, if you even know the game it will give you some extra money.

i.e. Jan 28th 1993 ORL @ CHI

You can send an reply until Feb 1st 2011.

The closest wins this thing.

Good Luck !

November 11th 1992 Game 7

Tough fighting Warriors...

It was a tough fight for the Chicago Bulls playing against the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors made the playoffs in the West last season and have a recent record of 4-4. Billy Owens showed a tremendous offensive performance with 38 points and a hand full of decent dunks. Chris Mullin and Tim Hardaway showed their strength from the 3 point line , together they had 5 threes.

On the Bulls side it was once again Michael Jordan who took the game on his side just in the last quarter. He missed his 2nd Triple Double in this season with 1 more rebound left. 19 out of 25 Field Goals made meant a FG percentage of unbelievable 76%.

BJ sinks 8 out of 9

After the tight win against Golden State the Bulls welcomed a completely overchallenged Bullets team. The game was decided early in the first half and Washington could not resist against the strong performance of Chicagos 3 point shooters.

BJ Armstrong shot 8 out of 9 threes, that was a tie of his career high. 4 more threes from Horry and 2 from Jordan completed that outside threat. In all the Bulls hitted 15 threepointers which means a new Dynasty record.

The Bullets have a very bad start to the season, they only won 1 out of 8 games and are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Hi, you are a bit wrong there. MJ hasnt reached te 20k points yet. He is at 19.279 pts, its more on you to predict when he gonna reach his 20 000th point. It should be somewhere between end of December 92 and beginning of February 1993.

This is a kind of prediction contest.
