Version 1.2 is up and completed. Now All Shot Ratings are fixed!
TonGunner wrote:How you calculate the block atribute? Because I see Kareem with 67 block shot ability and dont understand that.
Block Rating is based on Block %. It's the % of block shots the player blocked while on the floor. The Elite Shot Blockers have shot Block % of at least 8.3.

Hi Fifedawg,
Can you please help me on this ? I need to use the current player stats (after around 40 games played) and convert the ratings to the one in the sheet. Can you please submit all the formulas and working of how the tendencies / ratings of all the NBA 2k11 player rating fields are calcultated ?
Thanks

If you want I can just update the spreadsheet for everyone for the 2010-2011 Season

Hey Fifedawg,
First of all I gotta say I think its really awesome that you took the time to compose the full ratings of every player ever in 2k11. However, my version of Excel sucks so I can't access any ratings beyond Ruben Wolkowyski's 2000-01 season. Would it be possible for you to PM me a link to download the remaining player data from that point onward?
Thanks in advance.

Hi mate,
I would appreciate it. Though I would really want to know how you calculated various fields. If it is possible, you would keep updating this sheet, say each month, until the end of the season.
Thanks again for your great work

Cool, thanks. You could either just post it here on this topic or PM me. Thanks again!

Wow. I just got a hold of this.
I play a fully fictional association where I edit all my players ratings. This is a great resource to help make players like historical players.
I love it! Good work.

Fifedawg, First of all, thanks for this wonderful stat sheet and this is very helpful especially to patchers who want to make an all-time roster or retro rosters like me. I just want to ask some questions. First, the minutes and effectiveness of players they have. For example, Michael Jordan in 1990-1991 Season. He average 31.5 PPG and 37 minutes per game. In your stat sheet, you put a 97 Shot Tendency, 86 Stamina, and 84 Touches for 1991 Michael Jordan. I simulated 1991 Michael Jordan in the Association Mode for a lot of times and he just averaged 27-28 PPG. I cranked his minutes to 48 minutes and he just average 27-28 PPG. Even I cranked his minutes to 48 minutes, he just get 38 minutes. Can you tell what's wrong with this.
By the way, I'm creating an all-time roster project mod. My main objective is, this project, to be the best all-time roster mod in 2k series. Can you collaborate with me especially in statistics?

Well one thing i have found out that playbooks, teammate tendencies and coaches all play a huge part in creating sim stats that rival real life. First thing I would do is update all the players in your league with the ratings and then update the coaches ratings and tendencies and finally the playbooks.
My next project is creating a spreadsheet for coaches ratings and tendencies that will help you along with your project.

Hi Fifedawg,
When can we expect a Version 1.4 with the player ratings reflecting their current season stats ? Also, can you please tell us how you calculated the ratings in your spreadsheet ? Like this, we wouldn't need to ask you fo updates because we can do them ourselves

Thanks in advance
Mon Mar 07, 2011 12:41 pm
Yes Version 1.4 should be coming out soon as we near the 3/4 mark of the 2010-11 Season. Probably sometime this week. I don't mind sharing some of my formula's but it would take tons of time trying to post them all here on this forum. If you wanna know some in particular just pm me.
Mon Mar 21, 2011 12:57 am
Hey fife are you still doing the coaches spreadsheet
Fri Mar 25, 2011 9:11 am
Sure am. I got some other projects I am working with some people on. So as I get those completed I will put that out. Also, I will be posting the 2010-11 stats as soon as the season is over.

Fifedawg, still remember me? Here is my thread for some previews of my on-going project of NBA G.R.E.A.T. (Greatest Roster Ensemble of All-Time):
viewtopic.php?f=139&t=79054I'm going to give you my roster later this week to edit and polish it. I'm done with their stats from your Version 1.3. Can you edit the other left out Ratings and Tendencies. By the way, are you doing the Hotspots also? It's a big part of consistency rating I think. Thanks for the help.

I can help with what ever you need. I have been watching a lot of video on players and notating all tendencies. Now of course that is a huge amount of work, so I have about 100+ player tendencies completed including shot forms etc., but many more to finish so I can edit what I have so far and keep you updated as more are completed. I'm also working on a slider set that helps bring out sim stats that will be close to real life as possible. Now I haven't started working on playbooks yet, that is a very essential part of the game as well. Oh yeah, one more thing. Coaches ratings and tendencies is another project i'm working on.
When all this is completed, you should have a pretty good working mod. You have a release date yet?

Fifedawg, could you make the player ratings for my players who had been in ABA before. These players had a greater career in ABA. For example Indiana Pacers. Player like George McGinnis and Mel Daniels are one of the greatest Pacers. Their successful career was in ABA. There are no stats for players who played between the ABA-NBA merger years in your sheet. For my all-time roster project, could you make rating for my ABA players specially for this project? I'll send you the list of players if you'll agree. Don't worry I just a need a specific season of a player. For example 1970-1971 Mel Daniels. Thanks a lot.

I can get those for you, but you know some ABA stats for players make them better than there NBA counterparts. Guys like Charlie Scott (see 1971-72 ABA season) are just as good as Michael Jordan!
