It was over when...
With the scores tied 34-34, and with 27 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Jeff Wilkins made the 36 yard field goal to give the Rams a 37-34 lead, on the next play Kevin Kolb threw an interception on a hail mary pass.

Game ball
Marc Bulger was nothing short of spectacular, even though the Rams had to use 3 different quarterbacks on the day due to injuries, Bulger made it count, especially on his last drive which led to a winning field goal. Bulger threw for 190 yards and 2 touchdowns and an interception for a 100.6 rating.

Key stat
For two quarters, the Saints were without Drew Brees and Reggie Bush which stunted their offensive production even though they scored touchdowns, some of the throws Kolb made which were missed or intercepted would of been made by Brees.

Noteworthy
Kevin Kolb played a pretty sound game for a rookie, Kolb completed 25 of his 40 throws for 321 yards, he was sacked four times but managed to throw 2 touchdwons and 2 interceptions, one of them coming on a hail mary pass.

It was over when...
With seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and leading 9-7, Drew Brees ran in a 3 yard touchdown run to give the Saints a 16-7 lead, and ultimately a victory.

Game ball
Strong Safety Roman Harper recorded a interception in the endzone (above), and recorded 6 tackles giving him 68 for the season with 4 interceptions, he also recorded a sack.

Key stat
The Texans turned the ball over twice in the redzone, Schaub fumbled late in the fourth and threw an interception in the endzone earlier in the game.

Noteworthy
Brian Simmons, linebacker for the New Orleans Saints, recorded 5 tackles and one sack, he helped keep the Texans to just 58 rushing yards.

Good Work, love the game recaps and previews. Looks like your having some tough luck losing both Brees and Bush. This is definitely a must win situation for your Saints. Good Luck.

Thanks, yeah this season hasn't been great defensively, my best player on defense has been jabari greer who is a 69 overall, roman harpers played like a beast but not the best in coverage... i dont think i will make the playoffs but i certainly need a middle linebacker, i should get a good draft pick lol.

It was over when...
Trailing 27-21 with 56 seconds left on 4th and goal (17 yard line), somehow Kevin Kolb managed to find Antonio Pittman in double coverge who broke tackles and the two yard line before diving in for a touchdown giving the Saints a 28-27 lead and win.

Game ball
Drew Brees went out injured after just 4 throws, Kevin Kolb came in and played an excellent game, completing 15 of his 28 throws for 313 yards, 3 touchdowns and just one interception for a 114.1 rating.

Key stat
The Saints managed just 80 rushing yards, but Williams who had a big game last time around managed just a 2.6 average.

Noteworthy
Rookie wide receiver Robert Meachem had a breakout game, recording 8 catches for 177 yards, and one touchdown, the touchdown went 80 yards to put the Saints back into the game after trailing 27-14 early in the fourth quarter.

At this point in the season I think it would be nice to see the standings and see where you stand in the division race and the wild card race. Huge loss of Bush, but your team stepped up big time in the fourth quarter. Nice win, Buccaneers defense will be tough.

It was over when...
With 10:45 left in the second quarter, Drew Brees found Robert Meachem in the endzone for a 1 yard touchdown pass to put the Saints up 21-0.

Game ball
Just when everyone thought Drew Brees was going to slow down due to his serious injury a few years back, he responds with a 146.8 rating game, throwing for 331 yards, recording an 82% completion rate (threw 34 times) and 5 touchdowns. The Buccaneers simply had no answer for Drew Brees.

Key stat
The Saints recorded 12 of 17 converted third downs, in the seven games Jabari Greer has started, the Saints defense allows just 11.0 points per game, including three shutouts, when Jabari Greer has not started or has missed games, the Saints defense allows 32.6 points per game.

Noteworthy
In his first start, Antonio Pittman carried the ball 31 times for 127 yards and a touchdown, he added 1 reception for 17 yards through the passing game.

It was over when...
Michael Vick found Warrick in the back of the endzone for his second touchdown (1 run, 1 pass) of the day with 1:21 left in the fourth quarter, the touchdown put the Falcons up 17-10 and the Saints couldn't move the ball down the field on the ensuing drive.

Game ball
Warrick Dunn was pretty good for the Falcons today, Dunn recorded 21 carries for 71 yards and a touchdown averaging 3.3 yards per carry but also recorded 1 reception for 11 yards and a touchdown in the final minute and a half remaining in the game.

Key stat
The Saints went 3 of 12 on third downs, the game was pretty defensive, the Falcons could only record 309 total yards whilst the Saints, who were averaging 405 total yards per game could only muster 2010 total yards against the Falcons.

Noteworthy
Charles Grant was all over Michael Vick tonight, Grant recorded 3 sacks and 7 tackles, and would of had 2 more sacks on Vick if it were not for some offsides by other linemen.

heartbreaking loss, my season is ended, now i will need miracles to get into the playoffs :( really need a middle linebacker

Fuck man, that loss to Atlanta is going to hurt. Your going to have to win out to even have a chance at the playoffs. I believe in you though!

It was over when...
With one second left in this historical game, Neil Rackers kicked a 35 yard field goal to give the Cardinals a 59-56 win, the Saints had come back from 35-28, 49-35 and 56-42 deficits, but it wasnt enough as they have now officially been eliminated from the playoffs.

Game ball
Matt Leinart completed 22 of his 36 throws for 518 yards, 7 touchdowns and 3 interceptions, Drew Brees completed 26 of 46 attempts for 462 yards, 6 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, Terrence Cooper recorded 5 receptions for 145 yards and 3 touchdowns for the Saints... and Cardinals wide receiver Bryant Johnson recorded 4 receptions for 174 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Key stat
This game was all offense from the go, the Cardinals recorded 618 total yards whilst the Saints recorded 487 total yards in what could be the best nfl regular season game to ever been seen,

Noteworthy
Jabari Greer is slowing becoming one of the best in the league, he picked off Leinart once and held Larry Fitzgerald to four catches for 42 yards.

that's it, half my cornerbacks and my d-cord is gone after the season.
