7-8 Realistic

We can't aim on the Top 4 with the lineup we have. Bring back the healthy Yao and T-Mac and we will be number 4 again. (Y)

We all know that's not gonna happen. In my opinion, we can be in the top 5 in the west with the current roster.

I'm going to think that the one not in the rumour one and the one that is more recent is more accurate (The trade)

Still, I don't see teams trading for him, cuz he's probably done.

His value lies in his expiring contract.

The lure of acquiring Yao for potential suitors is the $8 million in savings that insurance will provide for his $17.7 million expiring contract this season. Some teams are considering re-signing Yao on a short-term deal with hopes of restoring him to playing health, while others see his contract as a cost-saving measure.

Sometimes, a player's value is in a trade.

Phoenix would be a good place for Yao seeing as how their team doctors rebuilt Grant Hill; wouldn't mind seeing him go there. As long as we get Nash in return :P

Anyways, a great win against the Wizards last night. We held them scoreless in the last two minutes and got five defensive stops in a row with a small lineup of Brooks-Lowry-Martin-Scola-Hayes. Five-game win-streak FTW!!! :headbang: And we also have an 8-game win-streak at home too!

Just noticed the poll is completely bogus now. The answer was 1-10.

Great effort against the Heat tonight. I thought the game was completely winnable, the Heat certainly played great defense and was shooting lights out from the floor, hitting almost 60% of their shots. Brooks looks great out there, perhaps the best since that ankle injury (fuck you Ginobili).

We got bit by the injury bug. Chuck Hayes sprained his ankle in practice. He would miss 2 to 4 weeks. Oh man.. :|

Sorry Axel., no Nash for you. How about Gani Lawal or Garrett Siler? OK Maybe Vince Carter?

Wow. That's three ankle injuries this season for the Rockets! Still have a long way to go before you catch up to Portland's knee crisis.

Don't want to. I might get dunked on.

I've just read that our record last month is 11-4 and scored 60 points in 2 quarters 15 times.

What's with the Rockets and ankle injuries this season? Rule out Brook's ankle injury because to me Ginobili played ugly on that one.

Certainly was an upset there. Only got to see the last few minutes of the game, and damn, it took a shit load of time for us to get the ball up the court with 17 seconds left. :|

Anyways, what do you guys think about our commentators Bill Worrell and Clyde Drexler/Matt Bullard? Drexler and Bullard aren't that bad imo, but it's fun to listen to Bill Worrell. Could be something about his accent.

Clyde is so turrible Bill have to bail his ass out so many damn times already. Sometimes he gets so bad that Bill went silent for at least 10 seconds.

What do you guys think of Gerald Wallace and Nene potentially coming to Houston? Whatever happens, I hope Scola and Martin aren't traded, although that's probably what would have to happen to acquire either of those two.

You know what I think of Gerald Wallace going anywhere.

I think Battier would be traded. I think if the Rockets were to go for Nene it would be Battier, Miller, and someone else, but for Wallace, maybe a straight trade for K-Mart + a draft pick. The Nuggets would need a center (Miller) and backup for when Carmelo leaves (Battier). The Bobcats could get Martin to start at the 2 and have Jackson start at his true position at the 3. I'm not sure how the salaries work out for these though, you could throw in some pieces to make it work.

Also, Anthony Randolph is on the Rockets radar.

Kevin Martin is a vastly superior player to Gerald Wallace. You're out of your mind if you think the Rockets would do a straight swap WITH a pick? Maybe if the Bobcats gave up their pick.
