Re: Tutorial.... changing court colors and reflections relea

This is really difficult. I'm just trying to change the out of bounds area of a court to make it 2-toned, similar to the ASG court. I'm following johndoe's screens and the court ends up far from what I want.

At the bottom where I have those three set of hex values marked in the color code. If you decrease those 3 set of hex values by the same amount, you darken your current color and if you increase those 3 set of hex values by the same amount, you lighten your current color.

So all three are numbered 61 3D in the pic. If i want to brighten my current color, i would use, for example, C1 3D on all three. Now if it was 61 3D on the first 2 and 56 3B on the last one and I want to brighten my color................ I would change the first 2 to C1 3D and the last to B6 3B. You have to increase by the same amount of hex values.

Also how do I know if I'm decreasing values? I see your "increasing" going from 61 to C1 and 56 to B6, that's awfully confusing since I don't know much about hex editing.

I figured out my previous question on hex increasing/decreasing. Does anyone have a clue if what I'm quoting is possible?

It will be possible if the court you are editing is also a 2-toned court. that's what i know

Hi o.k i have open it with decompress.... but how can i make the bin file back to .iff for the game ?

the bin files are the iff file, just split up. the changes you make are automatically done in the iff file so you dont need to convert the bin files back to iff

there is no simple way, it's hex editing and converting from float values

I might try and redo this tutorial sometime soon though, remind me if it's not up in a week
