Dwyane Wade played like he was still in the 2006 NBA Finals against the Mavericks, as he scored 50 points, adding 10 assists and carried the Heat over the Mavericks 113-106.
LeBron James added 29 points. Chris Bosh scored just 4 points, but was a key on the defensive end in the fourth quarter, coming up with both of his steals in the final 2 minutes.
Dirk Nowizki picked up 2 fouls in the first 1.13 and took an early seat on the bench. He picked up his third once he checked back in the 2nd and was in foul trouble throughout the night. He still managed to score 19 points in just 23 minutes, starting off going 9-13 from the field, before missing his final 3 shots.
The Heat got off to a hot start, leading 14-6 in the early going, but the Mavericks matched them throughout the game, despite Dirk's absence. They tied the game at 21 and took the lead into the quarter break, 30-28.
The Mavericks continued to pile on the points, and the Heat had trouble matching them. After falling behind by 5, the Heat came back with 7 unanswered to take the halftime lead, 59-57.
The Mavericks continued their stellar play and after Nowitzki picked up his 4th foul with 6 minutes left in the third, they scored 8 straight and in the end of the quarter, the score was tied at 83.
Dwyane Wade scored 14 points the fourth quarter, going 5-7 from the floor and his jumper with 31 seconds left put the game away for good. The Heat had a 5-point lead and Wade had just scored his 50th point.
The Mavericks went to Dirk in the final minutes, but the All-Star couldn't deliver for them. He missed 3 shots and had 2 turnovers in the final 2.35 alone, mostly thanks to the stellar defense played by Chris Bosh and with help from Joel Anthony.
"I felt like I became a spectator at times, just watching Dwyane do his thing. It was his night and that's why it's great to be on a team like this. I only took like what, 3 shots tonight? If I had played like that in Toronto, we would've lost." said Bosh following the game.

This is a great Association, no doubt. But to me I find it a little hard to follow because I dislike the Heat. Sit will be the first to admit that I didn't follow his Lakers' Dynasties back in the day, even if they were good, just because of the team. It's just like I know a lot of people didn't like Bobcats or T'wolves, they like to follow teams that can win.
Either way, I'll continue to check in every now & then, even if I don't make comments

Same as The X. Presentation is great, but team is very uninteresting. I liked Sit's Lakers though, since they were turrible in the 2005 days.

That's not to say the team can't become interesting. We will just have to wait & see what Martti does with them

As long as Martti keeps posting box scores of the the greatness that is Joel Anthony, I'll probably lurk this thread.

I didn't notice it during the game. But he was superb late in the game, poking the ball lose from Dirk 2 times and contesting his every shot.

I don't even check in every now and then... this is a very rare appearance by me in this thread.

It's a great association but everyone knows I'm a Lakers fan through and through and I can't follow another team that has ties with the Lakers too closely even if they are a virtual team. Any team that I hate in real life - I will not follow in an association story. So I am with X and L-Train on this one.

I reckon it was only because of Freddie Ratchuk that The X finally hopped back on the Lakers wagon after years of hating because of the downfall of Cedric.

So Martti, maybe you got to get some players with some real personality onto the team!

LeBron James returned to Cleveland and was met with a loud cheer of boos, but after a close first half, the HEAT made 10 straight field goals, outscoring the Cavaliers 25-4 to start the second half and cruised the rest of the way to a 133-98 win.
Dwyane Wade scored 35 points, attempting just 12 field goals. LeBron wasn't much off, scoring 33 on 14 shot attempts. Chris Bosh scored 24. Between the three, they combined for 92 points on 31-39 shooting from the field, 3-3 from deep and 27-31 from the foul line. James Jones led the supporting cast with 12.
The Cavaliers held close in the first half, shooting 9-16 from deep in the first half. They shot 14-26 for the game, led by Daniel Gibson, who was 7-8 from beyond the arc. But the HEAT as a team didn't miss from the great beyond, going 8-8 for the game. Mario Chalmers made 3 threes.
But despite one of the most dominating offensive performances in recent years, the HEAT also got bad news. Kyle Korver checked in and on the very first possession, went in for a layup and did a flip in mid-air and fell hard on his left hand. The x-rays showed a separated shoulder and Korver is expected to miss at least 1-2 weeks.
"They made their jumpers in the first half, but we knew they can't shoot like that the whole game. They didn't and luckily we did. We also got stops, coach Spo really emphasized that in the locker room at halftime. The offense was working amazingly, I've never been a part of anything like this," said Dwyane Wade following the game.
NOTES : The HEAT outscored the Cavaliers 46-20 in the third quarter; the HEAT had only 1 offensive rebound; The Cavaliers attempted just 4 free throws, compared to 45 by the HEAT; The HEAT made 4 more field goals (45 to 41), but attempted 28 FG's less (94 to 66)

Heat trade Barron to Knicks for future 2nd rounder

The HEAT have traded recently acquired C Earl Barron to the New York Knicks in exchange for the Knicks 2011 2nd round pick.
Barron hadn't appeared in a game for the HEAT, but did average 5.0 points in 2 games for the Suns.

Blockbuster! Good move for the Knicks, as their Center depth is pretty... Barron!
