Re: The "How is your Association going" Thread

Mon Nov 22, 2010 6:34 am

I'm deciding whether to abandon my 2K10 Association. I played a draft workout and incurred the glitch where there are no more pre-game intros and it just goes straight to the tip-off.

It's not a big deal because it doesn't affect gameplay itself, though I finally understand why presentation is really important. When you're 7-10 years into your association and most rosters are filled with players you're not familiar with (because of staring only at silhouettes as their pic in 2K10), eye candy like presentations help in keeping you interested in continuing. I even started accessorizing my players, which I usually don't care for.

Damn it. What's taking 2K to release the patch out for 2K11.

No competition out this year so not much incentive to rush it through. Is disappointing as usually we would've had a patch a week or two ago, but it's still probably 2 to 3 weeks away (N)

Considering for the PC, I wouldn't be surprised if it's not out until January like last year.

I have Theirryitis, so don't expect a public Association coming until the patch comes out (or later).

I have the Raptors on my mind, Bayless going there gives me something good, or the Mavs.

Houndy, the Raptors are a popular team and IMO, we have seen a lot lately... try a team not that popular (Atlanta, Dallas, Philly)... just my two cents!

All right..... I hate Theirryitis

Two quick questions:

How do you keep injuries from Roster to Association?
And do you just create the player in the draft, or do you do something else for a player to come overseas?

I want to share my Association too. I choose to manage Miami Heat, the Heat leads the series 9-4 (tied with the Bobcats). Our last game was against the Clippers with a score of 93-77 @LAC, Wade was not able to blown up because he is suffering from a Knee Tendinitis injury for about 1-2 weeks (but he scored 15pts)
The season has only 29 games (to avoid boredom along the way).

Difficulty:All Star

Here's my rotation:
C.Arroyo,PG 68
D.Wade,SG (hurt) 92
L.James,SF 96
C.Bosh,PF 83
S.O'Neal,C 76 (Heat Trade: E.Dampier)

Bench Players
T.McGrady,SG 73 (Heat trade: J. Howard)
Z.Illgauskas,C 70
U.Haslem,PF 74
M.Pietrus,SF 73 (Heat trade: M.Miller)
J.Jones,SF 66
J.Anthony,C 64

Reserved
T.Battie,C 62 (Heat trade: J.Maloire)

That Miller Pietrus trade is turrible. :shake:

Otherwise, very good, although I don't really see the Celtics trading Shaq for Dampier.

Also surprised to see Wade at 92 rating and Bosh at 83. Should be higher by quite a bit. With LeBron at 96, Wade should be a 93-95 and Bosh in the mid-to-upper-80s. Just my thoughts.

If I get 2k11, I'm making my own ratings. Some of them are pretty wack.

Chris Bosh deserved to be 83

What can you say about my Roster this season? The Heat got the championship last season, and LeBron was the MVP.

Rotation:
E.House,PG 67 (I lost Arroyo, he signed to other team)
D.Wade,SG 98 (unrealistic rating?)
L.James,SF 96 (how about this?)
C.Bosh,PF 83
J.Anthony,C 65 (O'Neal signed to Spurs)

Bench:
M.Beasley,SF 74 (with a -7 w/ a 0 morale)
U.Haslem,PF 68 (w/ a -3)
A.Iverson,SG 73
N.Mohammed,C 67
M.West,SG 60
N.Smith,PG 66 (Prospect)
T.Taylor,PG 59 (Prospect)

Any suggestions? What should I do with my roster?Because for me it seems very unrealistic and unorganize one.

Yes. He increases up to 6 in his ratings just before the 1st season ends, and now the 2nd season starts he has 98 (very impressive for me though).

I'm planning to trade Beasley with Ariza. Despite Beasley has low morale, he is doing his job in the floor, actually last game against the Nuggets he scored 20 with 8 rebs and he is doing defense with 2 steals. Is there a way to recover the morale of this guy?

Started a 2K11 association with..... yep, you guessed it: the Rockets!!!

Anyways, did turrible in the first season (simmed). Finished 40-42, didn't make the playoffs, Jazz won the championship. In the offseason, Rick Adelman retired, so hired George Karl as head coach. Second season, the game had Brad Miller as my 6th man. I changed it to Kyle Lowry. Started winning more games. Went 55-27, entered the playoffs as a first seed, but got eliminated by the Mavs in the first round!!! :x The Hawks ended up winning the champioship. Entering the third season now. Got a lot to do. I have a Knicks association im in year 3...currently up 2-0 on the spurs in the finals going for the 3 peat!!

I think ill sweep them tonight. However im gonna need help soon!

Roster:
Derrick Rose
OJ Mayo
Durant (had signed LBJ as FA, got James the chip last year and then dealt him to thunder )
Bargnani
Hibbert

tyreke Evans
Eric Gordon
Beasley
Marc gasol
Blatche

Milicic
Anthony Randolph
gallinari
Thabeet
Brandon Jennings

In the offseason i'll have to resign Randolph Beasley Gordon I plan on declining thabeets option and blatche

Beasley im keeping no matter what. Id like to
keep everyone but if I resign everyone to what the association thinks they're worth I'll be unable to go over hardcap and resign tyreke next year.

How much $$ would you resign Beasley and Randolph for??

I want to start association with Magic. And I need your help.
I want from you to choose the best option for my team and I want some realism too.
First option
Magic: Vince Carter, Jameer Nelson, Daniel Orton, 1st 2012 pick
Kings: Tyreke Evans, Beno Udrih

and then

Magic: Mickael Pietrus, Chris Duhon, 2nd 2011 pick
Wizards: Kirk Hinrich, Hilton Armstrong

Second option (unrealistic I think)
Magic: Vince Carter, Daniel Orton, 1st 2012 pick
Warriors: Monta Ellis, Vladimir Radmanovic

Third option
Do nothing or some little changes

I would be very grateful for help!!

To improve your second trade, make it Carter, Duhon, and two first rounders for Monta Ellis and Vlad Radmanovic. Much better.
