Coping with hot weather

How do you do it? What suggestions do you have for coping with hot weather? The heat index where i live seems to have gotten higher since the winter months have come.

Really hard for me even think about hot weather right now, since it's fucking freezing here.

Where do you live, Australia?

Here in Cali, it goes from hot for two weeks to rainy and cold the next couple of weeks. It really sucks. I go outside on a break at work and my hands get frozen, even worse with windchill. Can't compare to JaoSming, though.

I think the back and forth is what sucks the most. I don't mind cold or hot weather, as long as the transition is smooth enough. Fucking H.A.A.R.P.

Haha as if your complaining about your hands cold in Cali. A high of -9*C and a low of -25*C (-13*F) this week, that's without the windshield which can easily drop it 10 degrees, and honestly, that's very good weather for this time of year.

I haven't had to plug in the block heater in my car all year, we've only had it snow once really bad all year, so it's been a really mild winter. But don't you dare complain about about too hot. My skin is dry and sore as shit, I hate runny noses/dry noses, and most of all hate waking up and scraping ice off my car before I'm truly awake. Not to mention usually the flu outbreak around this time of year really makes me feel like we're living in the middle ages and the plague sometimes.

But in all honesty snow was so fun when I was a kid, that it almost makes up for dry aching skin 4 months out of the year.

I guess you steal jokes from Jay Leno's writing staff.

Over here it's basically summer weather from mid-March til the end of October, it doesn't get as hot as Phoenix but it's ridiculously sunny and warm every single day. Tons of AC and drinking water is basically how we cope with it.
It still is sunny right now, but it got fucking cold, in the 20's at night and the 40's during the day.

The Simpsons comes to mind before Jay Leno on that one, namely Willie teaching French. "Bonjour, you cheese eating surrender monkeys!"

The French seem to be the only one that aren't aware of their surrendering stereotype in the media.

Nah, I'm very much aware of that, but that's basically all it is though, a stereotype. I guess it could be worse...

That's what stereotypes are, you shouldn't get offended at them if it doesn't apply to you.

I am very well aware of that, I knew I was taking a risk by insulting someone based on his nationality... Wait, looks like I'm surrendering right now... Just to debunk the stereotype, I'll have to say "fuck you Jackal". And then I'll apologize to show that French aren't rude and debunk another stereotype. Sorry Jackal.

PS : Yes, I just used the word "debunk" twice. Weird right ?

I was once basketball crazy a decade ago or so,that I'd spend most of the winter shooting hoops from my parents' garage. I'd be wearing a full jacket, gloves, tuque, and the basketball couldn't even bounce because it was so cold.

Get a job in air conditioning or if you can't, hang out at the Mall like most kids do. Then at night, I would hope you at least have a fan. :)

What I hate bout Summer is that I have really bad nightmares due to it being so hot. Don't know if there's any correlation though.
