Reserve players for Dynasty

Is there a way I can edit something so that I can choose exactly what players I want on my team before running a dynasty???

why don't you edit the roster.. then play your dynasty...

Well I want one with a fantasy draft mix everyone up...can't keep the team intact and have a well mixed team scheme... I'm sure there's something I can edit in like some .dbf

You could put each player on random teams before you start the franchise.

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but you could do a fantasy draft, then save the game, copy the players dbf and then make a new save roster, and replace that players dbf wit the one from the save game, then you should be able to edit it as a roster

Hey ... that's the best answer so far... that's really close to what I wanna do ... I kinda what I want to do ... thought it's hard to get ahold of the players I want due to the computer not wanting to trade ... but hey ... I'll see if I can mess around a bit with that... don't quite know which >dbf to edit? how do you edit a dynasty / saved season's rosters?

Ok here ill try and give a nice step by step example:

1. Load your rosters (obvious)

2. Start a dynasty with a fantasy draft.

3. Do your draft.

4. After training camp save it.

5. Make a new roster save file, anything will do, as you will be replacing the player rosters with your teams from the draft.

6. Exit game and go to c - drive/documents and settings/"username"/my documents/ NBA Live 2004/ Saves/ then the save folder that your dynasty is in example: 007.

7. copy the file called "players.dbf"

8. go to the save file of the rosters that you saved eg. 008

9. paste the players.dbf from your dynasty save. Say yes when it asks you if you wish to overwrite the old file.

10. Load NBA Live 2004

11. open the rosters that you pasted the players.dbf to

12. trade for the players you want, there will be no restrictions fromt he cpu, cos your only in reorder rosters, not in a dynasty so the cpu will accept anything.

13. once the rosters are how you want ave them then load up a dynasty using those rosters, but dont do a fantasy draft.

Wallah!! you should have the team rosters you want.
