NLSC Current Roster Update v1.06 Released...

Fri Mar 19, 2004 8:49 pm

In case you haven't seen it elsewhere...

Andrew wrote:I've put the finishing touches on a new version of the current roster update for NBA Live 2004, and it is ready to download here.

New in v1.06:
- 2003/2004 Rosters, updated through March 17th, 2004
- A lot of player ratings and positions updated for better substitution patterns
- A lot of player ratings updated for better simulated and in-game performance

I've made a lot of changes to player ratings and positions in this update, thanks to everyone who provided feedback on the last version! As always, you can provide feedback on the latest version by emailing me or by posting in the Live 2004 Roster Patch Issues forum.

does it give realistic team standings so you wont be playing the bull in the finals.

Fri Mar 19, 2004 11:03 pm

Thanks kp. :)

I've tried to alter the team rankings paseo, though I can't guarantee success every time. Sometimes the CPU simulated games yield strange results. Keeping the teams in a realistic order is a priority, but I don't want to boost or lower player ratings simply to change team rankings. Also remember that some teams rankings are affected by their current lineups - placing high rated players on the IR will reduce a team's overall rating fairly significantly.

awsome :!: :!: :D...great roster patch man

Everytime you make a new roster update, I start a new franchise with your previous one. This is getting ridiculous! lol

Great work man, roster work (I assume) must be tedious and you always do a great job on it.

I downloaded these...fired up knicks vs pacers in superstar 8 minute quarters

artest fired up 6 3's in 6 minutes

anthony johnson came off the bench and put up 4 3's in 4 minutes

and jermaine didn't shoot the ball once

this is just the first quarter

I shot 65% and scored 30 on the pacers in one 8 minute quarter...with the knicks

and I promptly quit the game

How about NOT using the arcade sliders

Sat Mar 20, 2004 9:49 am

PLEASE...I play on simulation/superstar and I used andrew's sliders for that test

in turn, I used my in-progress rosters with my sliders next

I've already finished both NY and indiana and I played a the first quarter

I shot .200 percent and could only muster 9 points vs indiana's defense

the whole team as a whole had 5 3's attempted in the quarter...that's 1 less than artest had by himself with andrew's rosters

I'm down 24 to 9...I just came back to report this cause I thought the difference in gameplay was hilarious. Ama keep playing now

check it out, these are the stats of the game I just played....8 minutes superstar

again, these are MY OWN rosters...from SCRATCH

First of all...I NEVER lose a game with anybody else's patches or the original rosters...I've actually managed to lose to the pacers using the knicks twice in a row now...I wasn't able to come back from that crappy first quarter.

How many people out there have shot 20% for a quarter? hahaha

This game was incredible, I was down huge then I made my run in the second, then they made a run to increase their leade then I made another run to cut to 3

then reggie hit a 3 and kurt thomas missed a dunk and mutombo missed a layup...which is typical hahaha

the pacers shot 17's 3's total when with andrew's rosters they shot 11 3's in the first quarter and I was able to score 30 points in that quarter alone

I mean, I'm sure I'm coming off like a total dick but I'm really exciting about what I've been able to do with this game....not actually are the games more like real life, but if I use a crappy team, I actually feel like I'm using a crappy team and outmatched

not like before where I could beat any team with the worst team in the league with my eyes closed...I only have 6 teams done so far, though...

I'm sorry you don't like the roster update RandomSurge, but I would like to point out that my rosters and sliders do allow other people to have realistic games. It would be great if they worked for everybody, but we're all different.

Sat Mar 20, 2004 1:33 pm

I've actually always liked your rosters overall...I've always had respect cause they are hard work

plus there is only so much a guy can do to fix a game with so many things wrong with it...

but I think I've found a way to make this game more realistic and fun to play...it is very painstaking and I've come up with my own formulas for every rating

a lot of testing with sliders as well...basically done every single player from scratch and paid attention to every player's and team's style of play

I've finished minnie, miami, ny, san antonio, houston and indiana so far...still have a long way to go

Sun Mar 21, 2004 6:15 pm

nice roster...in next version, i would like to see rookie and sophore teams...that will be really cool... :D (Y)

Sun Mar 21, 2004 9:10 pm

I'll consider it, but Mikki's already made a great Rookie/Sophomore roster patch, complete with individual jersey patches.

yeah, but i wanna see it in your grreat roster...also, i just need this year's rookies and sophomores. imo, it's more realistic than dream team, old celts, and 96 bulls...anyway, it will be awesome to have rookies and sophomores.

Hello,
Andrew,i can't download your current roster on fileplanet and i've a gamespy id,why?

Wed Mar 24, 2004 4:24 pm

Apparently they've changed a few things around with FilePlanet, but you can still download it free of charge. I believe you now have to sign up for a FilePlanet account as well, but they offer a free FilePlanet log-in in addition to the premium service - needless to say, select the free log-in.
