The only thing preventing me from rooting for the Lakers right now is the presence of Vujabitch on the bench.

Ever since Bynum's surgery, I've thought, this is a great chance for Odom to take Bynum's job!

Pau with the triple double at the end of the third qurter. Very nice. He and Odom are really powering the Lakers. :D

Eventhough they did not crush the wolves today, it is truly a great feeling for a Laker fan to have brown, blake and barnes off the bench who are threats to score 10 even 20 in any given night. :D

I'm surprised the Wolves even scored half of what the Lakers scored. Minnesota's a train wreck.

Brown is the only other Laker I like other than Odom. I want them both in the starting line-up along with Luke Walton by the end of this season. Gasol, Kobe, and Artest can keep the bench warm come playoff time.
it won't happen cuz Phil Jackson isn't stu... smart enough.

I clearly have the Lakers best interests at heart.

Question: Where is Luke Walton?

Walton is back from injury, he made an appearance against Toronto, Portland & the T'Wolves too.

Luke Walton will be a much better coach than he is a player. Still love Luke though. <3

Lakers handed their first loss. My buddy Ty Lawson was a huge part of that. And Melo was just being Melo. I hope the Nuggets or Hornets can make it far enough this year to knock the Lakers out of the playoffs. Cant wait until Kenyon and Birdman comes back. Idc who knock the Lakers off.

Melo will not be a Nugget once the playoff starts.
Hornets front line will be raped by the Lakers the same way the league is raping the Heat front line.

Fuckin' Nuggets, always seem to have the Lakers' number.

I don't really like them as a team, now you're thinking duh, they keep beating LA, but the Thunder do that too and I don't dislike them. The Nuggets just remind me of that Rasheed Wallace Trailblazers team, they all look and act like a bunch of thugs with no class. (J.R. Smith, I am thinking of you as I type this.)

When Kobe is on, it's great to watch him shoot LA back in to games but when he's off, it's cringe worthy. Gasol wasn't his badass self either, Harrington did a good job on him. Brown gives me wood, much like Odom did all of last season (and consistently is doing so this season).

Fun game to watch, not the outcome I wanted though.

Oh, I love it when Kobe decides to brick threes every possession. It's just awesome to watch.

Not that he was the only one doing it, mind you. The entire team seemed to panic late for some reason.

Not really, the Suns were just on fire from three point range. Hand in the face didn't seem to matter this time around, I don't mind them losing a game like this, it's not like they played bad defense, too many turnovers though.

Oh well, on to the next game..

Suns beat LAL then beat DEN. Didn't see that coming.

Hoping Nash to get relocated to the contender though.

So it looks like Odom has a bruised bone, but would still be available to play. Ratliff on the other hand will need anthroscopic surgery. Read about it here. I hope while Bynum and Ratliff are out, Caracter could shine manning a post position. He looked promising in the preseason.

I think because of the CBA, NBA teams are afraid to make bold moves right now. And most of the top teams are really not in an immediate need of a PG, even an all-star. After loosing Amare and signing Turkuglu to nice contract, t looks like the Suns won't be to make any immediate changes either. The Suns and Nash did well against the Lakers, but I think they will have to hang in there for a little while.

If someone asked me if we were going to three-peat, I would have said 'Yeah, look at our starting five".

A few weeks into the new season, I'm the one going to people to say, "Damn, have you seen how good this bench is? The Renegades are going to be the reason we are three-peating!"

According to Jackson they might need a third starting center under contract while Bynum and Ratliff are out.

One name the article lists is Dampier, though it never cites a source, I think all the names they listed was purely based on speculation. I was never high on Dampier either. One name that intrigues me though is Sean Williams, he's got the talent, but is being held back by his off court antics. Most of the other players on the list are unpiloshed journey men, and PJ hates using those kinds of players.

Another player who is not on the list that I'd like to see get the spot is Primoz Brezec, sadly though he is under contract in Russia I think. He's advantage mostly is veteran smarts.

If I were the Lakers, I'd certainly consider Dampier for the veteran minimum.

Yeah but I read from some article that Dampier won't consider a short term contract.

That's obviously a stumbling block, but I was just looking at it from the Lakers' perspective. If they had a chance to snap him up for the rest of the season at the veteran's minimum, I'd do it if I were them.
