Good call. George Hill is a good player, but no way I'd trade K-Mart to get him.

Domination [0-3] - NCD:124 MIN:126 + Contest #2 Results

Double Overtime Thriller Ends With The Wolves Up By Two

"A loss in double-overtime always hurts, but they never hurt as bad as our loss did right now. When your team puts up a fight where Jared Dudley scores 45 and Walter Herrmann grabs a ton of rebounds, and in the end it means nothing, then it hurts all that much more." That's how the 6'7 North Carolina Domination center DeJuan Blair put it after the game, where the Wolves kept the Domination looking for their first win. Blair had 16 rebounds in his 24 minutes in the game and wasn't even the leading rebounder on his team! The biggest accomplishment in that, however, is the size of Minny's starting center, the 7'5 Slavko Vranes. Blair is ten inches shorter and nearly doubled Vranes' rebounds output, while Vranes led his team with 9.

The offensive end was the most focused part of the game. The Wolves were forced to endure Jared Dudley's 15-for-20 shooting in the first three quarters, while fueling their own offense in rookie star Wesley Johnson (36 points) and sharpshooting Martell Webster (34 points). Both players were incredibly efficient from the field and dropped shots and dunks from all over the place. It would, however, be Michael Beasley who dealt the final blow: a quick inside shot with eleven seconds left to break the 124 tie in OT2. Jared Dudley would take another shot from near the foul line, but the ball rimmed out, Minny's 7'5 weapon caught the rebound without a problem and held until the buzzer sounded four seconds later. Marcus Williams, who the Wolves picked out of free agency less than two days before, notched 22 assists in his first game, which he started.

MIN: 27 - 43 - 75 - 98 - 112 - 126 - Wesley Johnson (SG) - 36 points (15-26 FG, 5-10 3PT), 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 6 steals, 0 blocks, 1 foul, 1 turnover
NCD: 30 - 56 - 73 - 98 - 112 - 124 - Jared Dudley (SF) - 45 points (18-29 FG, 8-18 3P%), 4 assists, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, 5 blocks, 4 fouls, 9 turnovers

Domination [0-4] - NCD:108 NYK:118 + Contest #2 Results

Postby rise on Sat Nov 06, 2010 9:33 am

Domination Fall to the Knicks 108-118

The Domination are now 0-4 after a loss to the New York Knicks - led not by Raymond Felton, Amare' Stoudemire, or Wilson Chandler, but Roger Mason, who scored 39 points on near-60% shooting! Timofey Mozgov and Raymond Felton helped out on spurring the Knicks' offense with 13 rebounds from Mozgov and 20 assists from Felton. Stoudemire's 89% shooting from the floor included powerful dunks and a variety of shots ranging back to a couple feet inside the arc. He finished with 18 points, 4 blocks, and 5 rebounds. New York's bench played well, with Gallinari, Randolph, and Moore each scoring double-digits off the bench, and Toney Douglas added 5 assists. This team was all about instant offense, and Roger Mason provided just that, and they won with it.

Jared Dudley, once again, shot 50% from the floor, but would have had a much more impressive percentage had he not starting jacking up threes in the fourth quarter, when he was ice cold. He, however, still finished with 22 points. Adam Morrison clearly had the best performance for the Domination tonight, scoring 20 points on 67% shooting and pulling down six rebounds. Other than Ammo, most of the team was wildly inconsistent (Walter Herrmann scored 13 points in the first quarter and scored just six in the remaining three quarters. However, his 9 rebounds were respectable. Point guard Kyle Lowry said after the game, "Everyone's saying it and it's true - we have next to no experience playing with each other. We're an expansion team: we're supposed to suck for a year or two. You know you suck when Roger Mason drops 39 on you." Quite a flip-flop from his "We will win half our games" statement from a couple weeks ago.

NYK: 27 - 58 - 84 - 118 - Roger Mason - 39 points (15-26 FG%, 3-6 3P%), 1 assist, 1 rebound, 1 block, 1 steal, 2 fouls, 4 turnovers
NCD: 26 - 51 - 78 - 108 - Adam Morrison - 20 points (8-12 FG%, 4-6 3P%), 5 assists, 6 rebounds, 1 block, 2 steals, 4 fouls, 3 turnovers

Kyle Lowry diss Roger Mason. :headbang: How dare the Knicks not play Patrick Ewing Jr. :furious: Great to see Dudley and The 'Stache having great games though. :)

Domination [0-4] NCD:108 NYK:118+CONTEST3+Azubuike Is Angry

Postby rise on Sat Nov 06, 2010 11:16 am

Kelenna Azubuike Demands a Trade

Furious at the complete lack of playing time that he has received since being drafted in the expansion draft, guard Kelenna Azubuike has outright demanded a trade. He allegedly swore violently at Domination GM Zee Otoo and said, "I want to get the fuck out of here! Now!" Azubuike was charged $50,000 for the incident and an additional 50 grand for reporting his demands for a trade to the "Charlotte Observer" the next day.

"I never wanted to leave New York- I told them to protect me from the expansion draft, but they didn't. Now I'm stuck in a bottom-feeding team with no real leader. We're 0-4 and we haven't even played the Heat, Magic, Lakers, or any real difficult teams yet. When we played New York, I told Zee I wanted to play against my old team, but he wouldn't even let me."

Zee Otoo had noted Azubuike's less-than-enthusiastic attitude during practices before the season and had put Acie Law on the bench and knocked Azubuike to the reserves list for this reason. Zee Otoo has faced his first true challenge: Does he give up Azubuike via trade or waive thus getting rid of the team's only severely disgruntled player, or does he keep Azubuike on the roster in hopes of an attitude fix?

Contest #3

1. Take a look at the season schedule on the first page - when does North Carolina finally clinch their first win? (1 point)
2. Will Azubuike be traded? (1 point)
3. One other Dominater will demand a trade - who is it? (1 point)

I didn't make the jerseys, court, logo, etc. Ize from the Live 2003 patching section did that! Once again, thanks to Ize!

Domination [0-5] NCD:105 DEN:106 ----Contest 3 Still On----

Postby rise on Fri Nov 12, 2010 3:07 am

Carmelo Crushes NC's Hope, Pushes NC To 0-5

Only Carmelo Anthony stood in the Domination's way of clinching their first win. A breakaway 180 dunk with under five-tenths of seconds left was the fatal blow that put the Nuggets up by one. Jared Dudley's game had collapsed completely - he had been visibly struggling over the past couple weeks for unknown reasons - he was held to 3-13 shooting and only 8 points. Meanwhile, Walter Herrmann's play made up for the loss of Dudley's bug plays. 33 points on 62% shooting from the field as 9-15 from outside, he scored 19 points in the fourth quarter. He grabbed nine boards, second to DeJuan Blair, who had another double-double game comprising of 13 points on perfect shooting from the field, and 12 rebounds. Jerryd Bayless was very limited after early foul trouble, but managed 14 points and 3 assists before he fouled out. The role players all played well and were efficient, every active player from the NBA's newest team scored at least three points except for Brandan Wright, who brought down three boards in a single play.

Chauncey Billups was awarded the Game MVP after a stunning 21-point, 14-assist game while shooting 71% on the court and 83% from the stripe in sixteen minutes of action. J.R. Smith and Carmelo Anthony combined an additional 46 points; Carmelo also had eight steals, four rebounds, and five assists to go with his 22 points. Matt Harpring was able to let Carmelo rest comfortably, as he put in 10 points in just 8 minutes of play. Carmelo's final play of the game was the one that kept the Domination winless and not-so-ready to take on the Chicago Bulls the next day.
