Oberto retires following heart conditions

Postby kibaxx7 on Fri Nov 05, 2010 12:07 pm

As a fellow Argentinian, I was really happy when he got back with the Blazers... but as he said, family's first... he already had surgery to repair the anormalitys in his heart when he was playing with the Wizards. Elliot Williams also gone for surgery. I guess Portland will go after a free agent center?

A shame for him that he's got to call it quits like this but absolutely the right call. Best of luck to him, hopefully this will avoid further complications and he'll be able to live a long and healthy life.
