True. Boozer-less Bulls and the Knicks are both .500-ish teams.

lol are we betting point spreads here???!!!! just a fyi- Chicago will be favored to win since they are playing at home. prolly 2.5 to 3pts. maybe even more since the rooster's wrist is injured

i never said they will cruise to a W/win by 50. i said they should win. if you want to put your $ where your mouth is. by all means, you know how to get a hold of me

I'm gonna be losing some money if the Bucks keep this shit up. Salmons is useless.

Re: The NLSC Bet Tracker Thread

Wed Nov 03, 2010 6:36 pm

yeah they have more "better" players this year, but Maggette & Gooden exactly aren't Scott Skiles type players. too much offense. funny how a guy like Ersan Ilyasova is a better player on this team than a gooden or maggette. i think the additions have also rendered salmons (almost) useless. his role on the team last year was the scorer but obviously he isn't the go-to guy anymore.

Re: The NLSC Bet Tracker Thread

bucks lose another close one. I really think Skiles should start the unit from last year. bogut, ersan/mbahamoute, delfino, salmons, jennings. bring maggette, gooden, dooling, mbahamoute, cdr, boykins off the bench. or trade gooden for kurt thomas.

hornets are still undefeated. doesn't look good for milwaukee

In other words, moving Gooden out of the starting lineup but keeping Salmons out there would solve all the problems? I'd start CDR over Salmons based on the first four games even though he won't be back for a few more weeks.

Ideas like not playing Maggette until the fourth quarter even though John Salmons is determined to throw up as many shitty shots as possible could also possibly be rethought. Considering the Portland game ideas like not playing him at all because of the role you decided on even though he's the only player doing anything could also be so.

But I'm not a head coach so what do I know about killing my team with irrational rotations.

Re: The NLSC Bet Tracker Thread

Reasons they lost..

Brandon Jennings
Corey Maggette in OT
Skiles' rotations

The best unit out there was Dooling/Delfino/Luc/Ersan/Bogut. Jennings came back in and killed the flow of the offense, Gooden/Salmons came back in and just did what they've been doing all season. Jennings was terrible. He was going on these bizarre dribbling excursions, taking screens and dribbling all along the baseline then popping back up the other side of the court before launching a shot. It was odd. In OT Skiles went with Maggette over Mbah A Moute and he subsequentially gave up 2 easy baskets and 2 foul shots to Pierce and got called for a charging foul. Also they refused to go to Bogut in the post even when he had the combination of Big Baby and Semih Erden guarding him.

yeah delfino has really been fantastic so far this season. last season they had a distinct identity... a hard-nosed, defensive team. ilyasova & mbah a moute are perfect fits for the system. Maggette & Gooden seem like misfits on the team. maggette gets to the line A LOT but the refs aren't gonna call a foul every single time you drive so he will give the ball to the other team plenty of times trying to draw a foul. possessions and made baskets are important for defensive-minded teams. i think what made dooling so effective is the same reason why ridnour was so effective last season. he comes in, brings stability (when jennings gets too crazy) and he is a veteran.

Re: The NLSC Bet Tracker Thread

Maggette you can play easily, but you have to put him in situations where the team works around him properly. You basically have to have a four man lineup that works, and then Maggette just dominates on his own. Bucks should figure it out. And not trust him to guard someone. But finding a situation where you can play him 30+ minutes, and not sit him down the stretch is vital to making that leap. He's an incredible player offensively.

Ridnour loss is probably one of the biggest issues, he was fantastic last year. And solved a lot of problems on his own.

I'm not sure if blaming Skiles for the rotation is right...does he have one? It seems based on whoever hasn't pissed him off lately.

I'm sure Redd will solve everything when he comes back.

Yeah Ridnour's loss has been big. This is the first time Dooling's played well, but every other game when Jennings sucks Dooling comes on and sucks just as bad. Twice Earl Boykins has been the best back-up PG on the team. It is frightening.

I want to ask this early just in case. But can someone give me the rundown on how paypal is used?

Re: The NLSC Bet Tracker Thread

are you signed up? it's free to sign up, link your bank account to pay pal, and then you can send money to anyone as long as they provide the email they registered on paypal with.

as great as this maggette is supposed to be...in his illustrious 12 year career- he's only been on one team that's made the playoffs

Re: The NLSC Bet Tracker Thread

Fri Nov 05, 2010 11:42 am

that's because he was with the LCippers for most of it and shockingly it was the Clippers that were his only playoff team. so AG are you paying Doobie yet?

Bucks get a win in Indiana without Bogut, Chicago looking a bit shaky against Boston.
