Thanks. :)

As I said I can understand why they decided not go with an option but it does make the transition a little more difficult and it would be nice to have the ability to simplify things, even if that forfeits some control.

Re the menus, I haven't touched the mouse at all. Indeed, the necessity of mouse use was one of the things hated about the NBA Live games (at least back to 06, I haven't bought one since then).

Fair enough. I'd agree it's easy enough to use the controller but since I'm on the PC version, I'd like to take advantage of the convenience of the mouse so the need to select a menu option with the controller so that my profile is loaded is something I find a bit contrived. Easy enough to get around and not a gamebreaker but something I'm little disappointed in all the same.

How do you consider the mouse to be convenient? I always hated having to put down the controller, grab the mouse, select something, put down the mouse (figuratively), grab the controller, and so on and so forth. Far easier to just use the one input. It does get a bit fiddly with the way the menus are done in 2k11, having to hold the analog stick in the direction of the option you want to select, but it's easier, to me, than fiddling with multiple devices.

Oh, I'm well aware of the basic workings of the mouse, I just don't personally see how fiddling with two input devices can be more convenient than simply using one. To each his own, I guess.

My point is that I find the mouse more precise in navigating menus, especially since the menu requires you to hold the analog stick in a direction to select options rather than just moving between them. I'm playing on the PC so the mouse is right there, I'd rather use it in the frontend and the controller for gameplay as I don't find it that fiddly or cumbersome to use both in that way. As you said, to each their own.
