My bad, my Internet at home was down for a while, so I couldn't work on the roster without a reference. Working again now, and I really hope I can get it out this weekend.

Maybe in a later version. The '83 76ers are arguably one of the greatest teams of all time, so they get the nod here.

Also, Bboy, were you going to request the '03 Nets? I was thinking of switching to them anyways.

I'm getting closer to a release, and to the CAP limit. Most teams will be limited to around 7-8 rotation players for now. I hope that doesn't bother anyone.

actually yes that was exactly what i was going for. But then i re-looked at the 02 roster and they both have there up and downs.

I ended up not deciding so i just let you decide. Ill be very VERY gratefull with either one. I Love the 01-03 Nets.

Yeah, it's going to be 2002 in the first release, because Keith Van Horn is already in the files. I'll start recruiting some more "artistic" type people for later releases, but I don't want to go around demanding stuff before I've already given something to the community.

Is this project still in the works? I would love to play as the 82-83 76ers against other great teams of the past.

i hope it is xD

It is, but university has been hell these last few weeks. If I can get it out this week, the first release will have more placeholders (current players who match the general playstyle of the retro players they're replacing) than I would like, but I can't really put much time into this project until after exams. I'm also reluctant to put the finishing touches on it because a REDitor release seems to be imminent, in which case I'll be able to send out a much more authentic product.

Good news! I just finished the first version of the roster. I have to run to an exam now, but I'll upload the roster when I get back. Anyone have any specific sites they want it uploaded to?

*hopes for the Nets on there :D*

And yes Can you do Mediafire? would be great.

Uploading right now to a few different sites. There may be some missing files, so be sure to give me a shout if I forgot something.

Re: [REL V0.1] Greatest Teams for Each Franchise

Tue Nov 23, 2010 10:54 am

The first release is up for download on Filefront and Mediafire. I realized after uploading that I had forgotten to go through and adjust the rotations, so I'll try and release an updated roster file either tomorrow or later tonight, but I have some studying to do now.

There are placeholder players - current players who approximately match the playstyle of a retro player that I simply didn't have the time to make. They are marked by number to correlate to the player they represent.

I'd also like to give credit to the makers of the 1997 retro mod, as I pulled some CFs from there.

And, as a bonus, I included the 2005-06 Lakers, because the teams slot was open and I didn't really have to do much work to put them together.

Things to do for future versions:

Recruit artists - I'd prefer to reduce the number of generic faces and placeholder players drastically. Also, I want to make sure that I have accurate courts and jerseys.
Make good use of Vl@dZola's REDitor, and add retro shorts to the teams that need them
Fix rotations
Fix signature animations and tendencies
Add more teams

Also, feel free to give any comments and suggestions.

yay finally :D will give this a try and post back, tyvm

Edit: Whats up with the celtics team? why do they have dwight howard and bogut O_O.

Re: [REL V0.1] Greatest Teams (Looking for Artists)

Thu Nov 25, 2010 10:45 am

The current Celtics team is not in use. Same goes for the current Hawks, Bulls, Blazers, Knicks, Thunder and Cavaliers teams. Those teams currently only have teams in their "classic" slots used for the Jordan challenge. I just tossed some players in there to make room on other teams.

I've started work on the next release, but I won't be continuing that work until sometime next week, since I'm away for Thanksgiving. Work will be sporadic for a while, since I have my exams coming up, but as soon as I get my hands on the REDitor, I'll start to see what I can really do.

In case you were wondering, here's the list of teams I hope to add in for later releases:

1970-71 Bucks (Lew Alcindor and Oscar Robertson)
1971-72 Lakers (Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Gail Goodrich and Wilt)
2008-09 Cavaliers (LeBron)
2007-08 Celtics (KG, Pierce and Allen)
1966-67 76ers (Wilt, Hal Greer and Billy Cunningham)
1972-73 Knicks (Walt Frazier and Willis Reed)
1962-63 Celtics (Bob Cousy, Bill Russell, John Havlicek)
1999-2002 Lakers (Shaq and Kobe)
1997-99 Spurs (Duncan and Robinson)
1986-88 Mavericks (Mark Aguirre, Rolando Blackman, and Derek Harper)
1975-76 Nuggets (David Thompson and Dan Issel)
1987-88 Nuggets (Alex English and Fat Lever)
2003-04 Pistons (Billups, Hamilton, Ben and Rasheed Wallace)
1973-74 Pistons (Dave Bing and Bob Lanier)
1974-75 Warriors (Rick Barry) or 1966-67 Warriors (Barry and Nate Thurmond)
2006-07 Warriors (Baron, J. Rich and SJax)
1985-86 Rockets (Hakeem and Ralph Sampson) or 1980-81 Rockets (Cal Murphy and Moses Malone)
2006-07 Rockets (Yao and McGrady)
1997-98 Pacers (Reggie Miller, Rik Smits and Mark Jackson)
1973-76 Buffalo Braves (Bob McAdoo)
2005-06 Heat (Wade and Shaq)
1996-97 Heat (Hardaway and Mourning)
1992-93 Nets (Drazen Petrovic and Derrick Coleman)
1994-95 Hornets (Alonzo Mourning and Larry Johnson) or 1996-97 Hornets (Glen Rice, Anthony Mason, Dell Curry, Muggsy Bogues and Vlade Divac)
2002-03 Orlando Magic (T-Mac’s prime)
2000-01 76ers (Iverson)
2004-05 or 2006-07 Suns
1976-78 Trail Blazers (Bill Walton and Maurice Lucas)
1963-64 Kings (Oscar Robertson and Jerry Lucas)

Some of them I haven't really fully decided on which exact year, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

I've finished up a few of the more recent ones, and have laid a basic foundation (stars and players I had on the roster already) for almost all of them.

If anyone has any suggestions on teams they would like to see, just voice your opinions.

1984-1985 Lakers, please. Hopefully it will take less time than normal because you have already done the '87 Lakers. Thank you very much for this MOD!

OK, I'm new at this modding thing and I extracted this file to the NBA2k11 directory. However, I don't see where any of the teams when I'm in-game. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Extract the pngxxxx.iff files to your NBA 2k11 directory, and extract the AllTime.ROS file to your Saves directory. If you're on Vista/Windows7, it will be under C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\2k Sports\NBA 2K11\Saves.

When you launch the game, load up the AllTime roster.

By the way, anyone have any opinions on the first release? Things you like, or things you want changed, I'd love to get some feedback on what I've got out so far.

well i would give feedback but i play with 1 team and 1 team only, that is the Nets.

The 1 thing i could say is, if your going to make a total conversion mod you could also change the player's cyberface. so like you would have to change Jason Kidd form his current CF to how he looked like back in 02-03.

Also is there anyway i can take the Nets form this roster, and replace them with the one on Alby's so i could start a association? That was the main reason i wanted to play with this team, i wanted to actually get a ring with them and not just take them to the finals like they did in real life. But the current roster is kinda un-done and i cant start a association with it atm.

Well, you could start up a season/association with the Nets from my mod and export them, but the export feature is buggy and any CAPs will be absolutely hideous. Hopefully people will volunteer their talents in order to make CFs, courts and jerseys.
