tis league... would soon be a role playing game... where there are player agetns and gm.. it's a nice idea of mine.. and im still looking for players who wanna join!!
what we need here are hardcore dynasty lovers... because eral trade denogitations will happen here.. and more dynamics will be experienced between gm's and player agents... so how does the game work???
The General Manager Game
it uses nba live 2004 as a simulation engine where players handle their own franchises dealing with finances and make the team a championship contender. This is different because more of the transactions would be made offline amd more advanced rules would be used in dealing and trading players (Check the Rules On Contract Transactions). The sim league would be well documented filled with game recaps, game stats and other league updates.
The Player Agent Game
This game hope to bring a whole new dynamic in dealing or trading players.
==> A member can choose up to 8 players which they would manage in the fantasy league. They are responsible for maximizing the ability of the players much like in espn.com. But since they are the agents of these players... they have the power to demand what team and what salary should their player be paid.
==> For Example:: I choose to manage Kobe Bryan now we could develop a point system thats adds all factors.... like statistics, salaries, wins of his team, team finish, all star inclusion, awards etc.... so in the end of the season.. this player produces a certain score.. and it is added up to the players i also manage such as nazr mohhamed, boris diaw, etc. etc.... then we rank it and see who has managed his players the best...
now puting all the factors together,, then I must find a way to put Kobe Bryant into a position where he can produce.. get a high salary, put him in a team that wins.. make the all star... so that i can maximize his points...
And for example i think kobe is better suited with.. clippers than with the lakers.... because maybe he could produce better without shaq around and take the mvp awards etc. etc.... then the gm of the clippers can sign my player.. kobe bryant...
so in this system there is actually negotiations goin on... the player agent.. doing what's best for his players and for him.. and the gm's doing's what best for his team... so real contract negotiations can hit off...
this is the rough idea of the game and maybe we can iron out the detail more...
feel free to ask questions here.. =)
