Hedonist I don't know how to explain exactly what you have to do! Just go to control panel and look for regional, languages settings... You have to change to English( United States) format

King_12, it's a setting you change in control panel, not something you download

Lol I changed my language and it stays on Eng - USA now and I even made my system believe it's in the USA now, even though Windows still speaks Dutch to me lol, so I don't know if there's still something in my system that gives it away lol, because no small logo's here and I play on the highest settings.

Could it be it's the Windows OS and the exe file still being different? Or could it be that re-installing could do the trick?

After trying other options, like changing region of the OS and Location i get to the same point of you Jao, changing the Language, but, here it only worked after, changing the language and reinstalling the game.

Well, NLSC found the source of the problem, but we now face another, i think much easier to solve: make a batch, or patch or something in order to make the exe reconize the language as English (United States) even when the system is set to other language (Portuguese in my case). I think it would be like a pain in the ass to change the language to english manually every time we want to play the game, and when finish the game get back to portuguese.

Im NOT complaining, i think we already have the solution for this 2K crap thing, but i think now we know 'how to work around', a fix to make it permanet or automatic would be just perfect.

Thanks a lot again JaoSming for trying to fix this problem you wasn't facing.
(by the way, again, if it was a copyright issue, that small logos should not work outside usa and canada and suff, BUT the language set to english solve the problem, does it mean that all british guys are exceptions of that copyright? )

Hedo, don't change the language per se, neither the location, only the format of language, where you set the format of date and time.

You only need to do two things, get a US copy, and change the language format to "English (United States)".

Hedo, you need to change the "Language Format" (where you set Date format, hour format), not the OS Language, keyboard language or Location. AND for me it only worked after reinstaling the game with the Language format set to English (United States). From this point on, if i change it back to portugues the game loads EU/AUS version, if i change back to English (United States) it load US version (with correct logos and small logos).

Well 2k10 had an option to keep your save files. Since I don't have the game yet I think it's the same. But before you re-install backup your saves just in case.

OK, nice finding, i also started thinking of something like that after there appeared no differencies with different .exe's and equal .iff's in both versions.
