Those that have been wondering about the cracked (Deviance) version of the game. There is a way to get the official patch to work.
First take the 5.51MB nba2004.exe (original from the CD)
Then run the EN-US patch.
Then go HERE and download *NBA Live 2004 v1.004 [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed EXE
After the patch has been applied to the original nba2004.exe
Replace it with the one you downloaded

Basically there's a patch for the patch
