Pleased to meet you your majesty.

ZanShadow wrote:So as a fan who pays close attention to each and every one in the team, unlike you, I went on a little rambling that didn't really mean much.
Yes, I don't understand what that means.
Here I am thinking that the actual 'fans' are supposed to make sense since they follow the team and nonsensical ramblings are done by non-fans like me.
I didn't know it was the other way around that actual 'fans' who pay close attention to the team should ramble all the crap they want, and that's just the 'real fans', how about them bandwagoners?

You do occasionally make sense when LeBron/Bosh/Wade's balls isn't in your mouth to distract you.

So say ur right. That was one bad rambling. Why you being bitchy and blow it outta proportion just to get ur pointless point acrossed. What was it anyways, that I am a Wade's fanboi? Rofl. Great, spot on, shadow.

Anyways, this is third straight year, Heat player being involved in marijuana problem. Chalmers, Beasley then the team captain, Haslem. Hoping this won't affect his season, ie. suspension.

Only following your lead by blowing that Haslem story out of proportion with your rambling about "sacrifice" and "myth" or whatever the hell that meant.

ZanShadow wrote:pointless point acrossed
The point wasn't you entirely...
shadowgrin wrote:No! Any player that violates the sanctity of the holy trio's team should be criticized even if the legal proceedings haven't shown if he is guilty or not! That way the holy trio can still remain clean and 'fans' like ZanShadow will continue to enjoy sucking cock.
shadowgrin wrote:Of course there are many possibilities to assume that it could either be Haslem's or his friend's.

Granted that Haslem put himself in that position by either helping his friend or his own stupid decision to carry pot, but it's not like Beasley's (or more recent 'crime' - Stephenson's) case where the charged offender has a previous record.

Unless he gets vindicated, suspension will be inevitable. I hear it might be first two games if he pleads down to a misdemeanor or possibly worse. Doesn't sound much of a biggie as long as it doesn't effect team morale.

Re: Miami Heat Thread

Wed Aug 18, 2010 1:19 pm

Not to sound like I want anything bad happening to Haslem but the less minutes he gets the more Joel Anthony plays!
Haslem is probably going to be the first big off the bench to substitute either Bosh or Anthony.
I only see the greatness that is Joel Anthony getting 24 mpg. Tops.

Riley has responded to the critics. Fair enough of course, except that some of his comebacks completely missed the point of the criticism. For example:

Riley specifically cited Orlando Magic general manager Otis Smith and former NBA star turned analyst Charles Barkley as examples of people who took what the Heat president thought were unwarranted shots at the way the Heat went about business this summer. He also mentioned Magic coach Stan Van Gundy—Riley’s former protege in Miami—as well.

On the day after Miami signed James to a six-year contract that lured him away from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Smith said, “I thought he was, I guess, more of a competitor.”

Riley responded to that Friday, saying Smith made, “an absolutely stupid remark. He never made any kind of comment like that when he signed Rashard Lewis and he brought him down from Seattle with an $128 million contract.”

That doesn't make any sense at all, as the Lewis signing involves a very different situation and has nothing to do with the particular criticism Otis Smith made. It's a bad contract, but that's another topic entirely.

Barkley went a step farther, saying James “is never going to be the guy” in Miami because he’ll have to share the spotlight with Wade and Bosh. James responded a month later on Twitter, saying “Don’t think for one (minute) that I haven’t been taking mental notes of everyone taking shots at me this summer. And I mean everyone!”

Riley said he thought Barkley allowed his remarks to become personal attacks.

He's got a point, but given Barkley's outspoken nature, pretty much of all of his commentary and criticism could be construed as a personal attack.

At the end of the day, Riley's lack of eloquence in defending his players pales in comparison to his front office excellence in pulling off one of the biggest free agent coups in history, so it doesn't really matter. I just found the Lewis mark in particular to be weird as it really had nothing to do with what Smith was talking about.

Since LeBron is now butthurt, does he keep a mental note about Jordan too?

Re: Miami Heat Thread

Sat Sep 11, 2010 2:36 pm

Well, Jordan's comments were probably the most diplomatic, at least compared to those two. On top of that, I'd say Riley and LeBron have more respect for MJ than Otis Smith or even Sir Charles.

Regardless of all the criticism, Pat out-GMed everybody. He's the champ of this off-season while Otis and Chuck are merely tainting Pat and Bron's reputation.

I agree, though it's pretty hard for Charles Barkley to be an offseason winner. ;)

ZanShadow, thx a lot man :)
Charley Barkley is 100% hater of everything in this league, i think he will criticize every big move or every strong team once he loses some part of his popularity! i don't like such people! if i'm not mistaken, D-Wade told in some interview that he totally upset with this guy! thought they were friends!

100%? He likes Tim Duncan, Steve Nash, Kevin Durant, Dwyane Wade, and Kevin Garnett to my knowledge.
Unless math is different there in Russia...

D-Wade told in some interview that he totally upset with this guy! thought they were friends!
Friends don't get upset with each other every once in a while? You never had any misunderstandings with your friends Diddy?

Hahahahaha. Fuckers... but that was funny. Will give you that.

On more relevant note, here's Bron's recent interview.
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miam ... 2546.story

I think he said all the right things. Not necessarily, it's convincing to some of you, but from his situation right now, I think he's handled it pretty well. Looking really really forward to trio's awesome season.

Re: Miami Heat Thread

Better than some of his other comments this offseason. Although he could be a politician with this answer:

On those who contend he did not give his best effort with his Cleveland Cavaliers eliminated in the second round of last season's playoffs by the Boston Celtics: "I think that's one thing learned over the summer. I learned throughout my life, that's one thing you can't base your life or base your career on, trying to make everyone happy. You have to go out and do what's best for you and your family, and at the end of the day you know that you played as hard as you can, you know that you gave blood, sweat and tears, then you can be satisfied with that."

Something was definitely off in those last two games, whether it was because he'd checked out or not is something only LeBron knows for sure. He's still being pretty evasive in talking about those games but I guess what's done is done, he's still got a long career ahead of him.

I'd still like to see him acknowledge that The Decision probably wasn't the best idea anyone's ever come up and that that's what people criticise more than suggesting he had not right to leave Cleveland, but that's probably not going to happen. So be it.
