Official EA Patch

as i'm from belgium, i have the game in french and the patch doesn't fit

when i install it form ea's site, it says it is installed but the game still crashes

and there's only a version for us on the ftp and it makes an error when installing, it says

PATCH ERROR
Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found.
No update done since file content does not match

on the ftp there's only a file NBA2004PATCH.RTP in the FR folder...

COuld somebody help me???

fisrt of all u got the warez version of the game
cus i can tell
so replace the exe with the one from the cd
then apply the patch
then replace it with the crack
i aint supposed to tell u but i dont know y i did

i've already tried with copying the exe from the cd but it still doesn't work...

maybe i should have the exe file from somebody who has the the us version??

How big is the update ? (gotta now, uses a 56k modem )

Oh that hurts! If I want that patch I would probably have to request someone to download it and burn it on cd for me. Thanks for anwser.
I've no customart problem, so the only thing I'll get is an extra space for customteam?

im having this problem too. i download the patch, replace the exe, install. but nothin happens. the 1600x1400 isnt possible and the game still crashes.. please help.

First, you have a pirated copy so get the original. second, the patch is in the nbalive.exe file itself, so if you patch and replace with the old exe. you really havent patched your live yet.

i have an original copy and i can't patch!!

I have 2 nbalive2004.exe: the fake one is 4.96 mb and the original nbalive2004.exe is 5.51 mb.

Should I restore the original .exe first before I install the patch?

BTW, what's customart? How does it affect gamers having problems with customart? how did ea fix the problem, if you know?
