I wish they'd do this for the PC

*ANTI-CHEATING MEASURES*
Based on careful monitoring of our game stats, we found that many players have been taking advantage of an in-game exploit to rack up wins. The EA SPORTS Nation has a strict, zero-tolerance policy against cheating. In order to promote a positive, fun, and competitive environment for our users, we have deactivated the NBA LIVE 2004 accounts of those players caught cheating, and will continue to deactivate accounts as necessary.

Found it here. I'd love to see the lamer squirm when confronted. :D

In Live 03 online i was sure ppl where cheating, at some point i got so sick of it i decided i would cheat as well. I searched and searched and found nothing anywhere, not even a thread on some forum anywhere. I could not find any type of console command or even altered scripts. My view point is there is not way to stop cheats online, not even PUNKBUSTER is 100% effective for the most popular online games. But when it comes to EASO/Live 04 i dont see a way anybody can cheat(apart from player ratings and what not). I have seen some wierd shit online that has made me think differently recently so im gonna keep an open mind. The main thing to remember online is to adjust to the lag quickly when it comes to shooting the ball, u know what i mean.

EA's online games are so full of cheats and exploits

Plus you can change in your profile for skill-level, and shot control (user/default/cpu), they need to fix this so you can't change it for online play :?

Skill level is determined by the actual game setting, the profile setting has no effect when playing online, as for the shot control, CPU is useless IMO!

It does, this has been proven in many online leagues.

CPU shot control almost always guarantees a perfect release.

Proven
All I need 2 do 2 prove 2 u that it doesnt work is ask u to check the speed of the free throw bar during a game!!The profile skill level has no effect what so ever when playing online. It doesnt work because there are 2 people playing, and seen as the skill setting adjusts for offence and defence would make it impossible for the 2 players to have different skill settings!

It guarantees Nothing, its a shot purely based on STATs, with release Timing thats calculated by how open you are, there for never as consistant as a User controlled shot<>IMO. If u can make it work for u, go ahead.
