Rookies are too strong

Postby PointGod on Wed Dec 17, 2003 10:58 pm

Hi,

In a dynasty I love to take a bad team get some picks and then rebuild with new guys..

But man, Live always does that.. you get the first pick well he's already the 10 best player in all the league with an overall of 77 ??? WOAHH

77 is really stupid.. LeBron is 69 and is so fkin good in real life .. plz EA if you put rookies in the game make it that the first pick will be around 67, then once a 5year he could be 70.. Also, why would anyone get a second round pick with a player of 34 overall it's ridiculous..

it should be a lot more like 5 fisrt pick 67- 60 TOP 10 67-57 TOP 15 67-54
Top 20 67-52 Late 1 round 52-49 Early second round 49-47 Second round 47-44 Late second round 44-40

You would never draft a player who's 34 C'MON ...

Anyway to fix this? I hate having the CAVS losing and having the star on the new rookie.. Men I can't imagin the hype on a guy rated 77 !!

Just don't get me started with all the problems with the rookies in Live games.

There have been better rookies come out of the draft then LeBron... Tim Duncan ring a bell??? Why is LeBron so hyped, is the fact that he's coming straight out of high school and not from college.

LeBron still has to work on his consistency and who knows how he will deal with the NBA schedule in the long run.

He is very good... I'll have to give him that... Way better then anyone ever coming straight from high school. But he joins a quite an elite group that has Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant, Tracy MacGrady and Jermaine O'Neal to name a few. If LeBron can improve like these guys have, well he's going to re-write the record books even after the likes of Jordan, maybe not Kareem, but he'll break some records.

But back to my point... Rookies need to be more athletic then they are. Live advancement system does not allow much room for development in this area so the players should be fast and athletic when coming out of the draft. That is usually what is on the money with most of the rookies that even enter the draft. Their basket ball skills are usually not that developed to make an immediate impact and this is well reflected in the game ratings development. And has always been. They need to make the rookies more athletic etc. And they need to make some sort of a different development package for players under 22??? Which would enable more advancement in the athleticism section...

Man.....my draft after importin from MM04 was ridiculous. I had the 28th pick and got Blake Stepp who was a 72. I think Rickey Paulding went #1 with 87, and Romain Sato from Xavier was like #3 with a 85-86, and some center Arthur Johnson (could be fake) was like a 85. I was very mad.

Also, no underclassmen went to the draft except one I created who was a Freshman, and he came in as a 63, but I was hopin he wouldn't come out til he was a junior.

This is alittle bit off the topic but it still has to do something about the rookies. On my second season the rookies are like retros, almost 50% of them are sporting afro hairstyle. Also all of them are wearing shortshort.
I can edit the shortshort thing but the afros. :?
