That was a close one. Being so close in all game is a shame to lose this. There were little details that gave the win to Spain.

Spain had the momentum, the home crowd with them(as in every game neutral were all with the opposing team), some referee calls and a lack of a great SF despite having similar talented teams.

Diamantidis announced that he retires from Greece. As it seems the golden generation who beat every team except Spain and made us really proud is starting to come into an end.

Though new talents are coming like Sofo , Printezis, Kaimakoglou , Calathes, Papanikolaou, Papas etc.

If we get a new coach now who suits in Greek playing style we can go back to the top again!

Lookin forward and now watching with no anxious feelings the rest of the world cup

We wanted to avoid USA and not avoid Spain.

Greece did the right thing at that moment.
Russia wanted to do the same,France tried to do it(and that's why we played with Spain),and Spain did the same

We won :D We scored 95 points , France just scored 45 points in first 3 quarters . And the teams lose because of trying to draw with powerless teams eliminated , France - Greece :D Justice :D

Not really.
Cooking in low heat (not boiling) is known to retain the flavor of foods more so than foods cooked in boiling water, drawback being long cooking time.
And pressure cookers have high temperatures that the liquid doesn't even need to boil for the food to be cooked.

Fuck you all.

Bad night for the aussies. Kudos to Slovenia for advancing. Terrible from Australia, I was expecting a much closer game. Just wasn't their night. Anyone trying to tell me we are shit can go screw themselves though. We were competitive and just a shame we had to bow out in a blow out.

lol, I didn't say ya'll were garbage, I actually thought Australia would make it to the semis. Even without Bogut, the Aussies are still a strong team. (Y)

I'm just venting. And pissed off because we had an awesome opportunity. But that's basketball for you. Slovenia had a field day and the Aussies didn't sound like they could buy a shot... and didnt play d

I wish I could say I'm surprised but sadly I'm not. It seems to be the way of things for the Boomers: a couple of wins, some respectable losses and ultimately a disappointing finish.

Well, yeah, but that's controlled quite a bit because of the schedule. The U.S. and Lithuania aren't allowed to just go ahead and play their sixth game whenever they want.

Well, I must say this current edition of the Boomers are my favorite since the 2000 Olympics edition. My favourite players from 2000 would have to be Andrew Gaze, Shane Heal and Ricky Grace (Guards shone in the system they ran back then :) ). Can't remember if Brett Maher was on that team but he was pretty good too.

I like the current team for our depth in the front court. Pity we don't have the swingmen (I don't rate Joe Ingles, Brad Newley and Mark Worthington).

I wonder if Bogut would have made a difference for us.

of course, Bogut is your best player and best rebouder, and Brezec & co dominated on the glass early and it compunded with your inability to get easy buckets.

We played well all tournament. I'm pretty gutted but it's good that this tourney is pretty competitive. :)

Makes me wonder where we would be if we had wins against Serbia and especially Argentina. Who knows! :)

If they had of beaten Argentina, say they finish 2nd instead of 3rd, they face Croatia. Frankly, the way they played Croatia would've beaten them comfortably too, just like they did at the Olympics.
