With the Uninjured rosters, I don't always use real lineups. The whole point of the Uninjured rosters is that it isn't completely realistic, for people who don't want accurate and updated rosters.

I've noted all the latest suggestions, and will try to put them all to good use. (Y)

Andrew, i've installed the new roster 1.05, but i notice that Dikembe Mutombo does not have his knee's pad... did you remove it?? Cause i look at the DBF, and ther's shown -1 for both kness pad, but they are not in the game, and the option to put them is not highlighted...
Can you help me to put Deke kneeband?
Thank's..

sorry for another post but here are the players i feel need to have their rating upped or lowered, most just slightly, not a lot...(please don't take offense Andrew...I did this by going through "Reorder Rosters" and not by checking each and every player's detailed ratings. These don't take into account simulation, which I know you do, and a lot of these aren't your fault, they're either EA's fault or the players have improved. Hopefully you're willing to change some of these (and change the simulation involved as well). I took your 1.02 rosters and did revisions of my own similar to the list below, but I got tired of creating players and I think you do a wonderful job with yours...actually it's your new patch that's gotten me to play Live 04 again. So keep up the good work, this is a knowledgeable fan's input. BTW, if you would like to know which stats to increase/decrease for a player, check out their strengths/weaknesses at http://www.hoopshype.com). if you would like me to and when i find time, i could go through lots of the individual players and point out the specific places of their game that need increased/decreased rating.

ATL:
Increased: Diaw (he's a jack of all trades, very good defensive player, good rebounder, passer), Jackson, Terry, Vaughn, Glover (who was cut)
Decreased: None really

BOS:
Increased: Welsch (mid 60's, btw he's playing SF or SG and only does spot duty at PG), Atkins (very quick, should be 1 higher than Banks), Blount (60ish, good defender, shotblocker, rebounder, strong), Mihm (60ish, good low post scorer, shot blocker, decent rebounder), and the emerging Brandon Hunter (superb rebounder, lots of strength)
Decreased: Ricky Davis, Raef Lafrentz (a little bit), Jumaine Jones (a lot, he's sucks at 3's also)...and btw Hunter got cut and signed with the Pistons...

CHI:
Increased: Crawford (should be high 60's, Bulls' best player), E-Rob, Corie Blount
Decreased: Pippen, Gill (just a tad), and Tyson Chandler

CLE:
Increased: McInnis (a lot), Battie, Wagner, Diop (a lot), Ollie (a little bit)
Decreased: Brown, Bremer (Ollie should be better than Bremer)

DAL:
Increased: Howard (should be 2nd best bench player for DAL), Fortson (better than Bradley)
Decreased: Bradley, Delk

DEN:
Increased: Nene, Lenard, Boykins, all just a tad
Decreased: None

DET:
Increased: Okur (mid 60's), Prince (mid 60's...forgot to note but Prince shouldn't be a 3 pt specialist. he overall should go up, but his 3 pt shot should go down), Billups (low 70's), James (just a bit)
Decreased: Williamson

GSW:
Increased: Dampier, Dunleavy, Cardinal, Claxton
Decreased: JRich (esp his 3's)

HOU:
Increased: Cato, Taylor
Decreased: Weatherspoon, Padgett

IND:
Increased: Foster, Pollard
Decreased: Bender (really athletic, but his jumper is decent, but bad inside scorer), Anderson

LAC:
Increased: Wilcox, Barnes
Decreased: None

LAL:
Increased: None
Decreased: Kobe

MEM:
Increased: None
Decreased: None

MIA:
Increased: Wade
Decreased: None

MIL:
Increased: Starting 5 (read my post two up), Jones (a lot), Gadzuric (a lot as well)
Decreased: Strickland

MIN:
Increased: None
Decreased: None

NJN:
Increased: Collins, A Williams, Kittles (speed...he's probably the fastest guy in the NBA...shot too), Harris (shot...), Scalabrine
Decreased: Rogers, Griffin is gone

NO:
Increased: Augmon, Steve Smith (both just a little bit)
Decreased: Shammon Williams

NYK:
Increased: Williams, Mohammad
Decreased: Anderson, Norris

ORL:
Increased: Bogans
Decreased: None

PHI:
Increased: Thomas, Salmons, Dalembert (very good shotblocker, pretty good inside scorer, solid rebounder at both ends)
Decreased: None

PHO:
Increased: Zarko Cabarkapa
Decreased: None

POR:
Increased: Cook (should be slightly better than Dickau)
Decreased: Woods

SAC is all good

SAS:
Increased: Nesterovic, Bowen
Decreased: Ward (don't make him a 3 point specialist, even though he has an impressive career 3 pt%, he's never been a big threat), Horry

SEA:
Increased: Reggie Evans (good rebounder at both ends), Daniels
Decreased: None

TOR:
Increased: Bradley (very good rebounder, smooth passer, hands for a big man)
Decreased: Vince Carter (not a 3 pt specialist...)

UTH:
Increased: Ostertag, Lopez, Collins
Decreased: None

WAS:
Increased: Hayes
Decreased: Lattner

and in regards to range, I've noticed that a lot of big men in the game should have their range increased. lots of them are just 16 foot jump shooters. i have to go through them and look though.

I'll have to check on that. I didn't remove it, so there shouldn't be any problems.

Thanks for the suggestions FanOfAll. I'll look at each player and make some changes. (Y)

Just a few comments I have on the ratings....

Fred Jones - while he won the dunk contest, I don't think he does many dunks in games - thus I wouldn't expect him to have a high dunk rating....but his general game is improving, so maybe passing, speed, quickness, even FGs could be looked at.

Brandon Hunter - as mentioned - this guy is a beast on the boards and very strong....i tend to think he probably needs a bit of a speed increase too, cos he gets up and down the court fairly well.

Jeff McInnis - never has got alot of love from patch makers. Seems a very solid PG.

Dalembert - top shot blocker and very good on the boards.

Brent Barry - ranks 3rd in 3pt shooting in the NBA, but only has a 77 3pt rating.....maybe needs an increase.

PS: great work on the patches andrew!

All suggestions noted. I will consider everything, but I do reserve the right to have the final say on ratings. I'll try to use every suggestion that has been posted though.

Hey Andrew, I was just wondering if there would be some way you could send me the range of all the players? I just want to look them over, without having to use DB Commander.

Do you have Microsoft Excel? If so, make a copy of the players.dbf file, open it, then remove all of the fields between the players' names and the RANGE field.

could you tell me which Excel column it is (like A, AA, FE, etc)? I can't seem to find it.

I'll try to do that wherever I can. However, I will not boost ratings simply to change the shooting form, as I have to keep simulated stats and gameplay performance in mind.

Andrew, I finally installed your roster, here are some info you can include in your next release :

Antoine Rigaudeau
his nickname is "Le Roi" which means in French "The King"

Kaniel Dickens
Birthplace : Denver, CO. Won 2003 Slam Dunk Contest in CBA, he's a good three pointer too

Paul Grant
Birthplace : Pittsburgh, PA

Juaquin Hawkins
Birthplace : Gardena, CA. Athletic player with a bad shoot but a good stopper

Igor Rakocevic
Birthplace : Belgrade, Yugoslavia

Ime Udoka
Birthplace : Portland, OR

Xue Yuyan
Birthplace : Henan, China

Eddie Gill
You should edit his face, he's bald and has no beard

Keep it up with the good work Andrew ! :D

Thanks alexboom. :)

kswish, you can reduce three point field goal accuracy by lowering the Long Range Shooting slider.

andrew, i spotted a few more mistakes, nothing really important, but that would be great if you could correct them :

Image Obinna Ekezie
He's bald !

Jon Stefansson
He wasn't born in Grenadines but at Reykjavik, Iceland !

Olden Polynice
I think he's not that fat, he should have a body 5 instead of a body 6 (speaking in terms of in game editing, not directly through the dbf)

Image John Wallace
He's not that dark, he should be a tone lighter (with face 20 instead of face 26 for instance)

Image Zendon Hamilton
He's not that dark, he should be two tones lighter

Image Jason Hart
His skin color should be lighter

Image Michael Ruffin
He's bald and his skin color should be lighter. He also wears mid high socks

Kaniel Dickens
he has been drafted : 50th pick in 2000 draft by Utah

That's all for the moment, it's only my thoughs but that would be great if you implement them. Anyway, thanks for the roster, and thanks for the great feedback for us, the users :)
