Re: [6-3] Bucks | VS Knicks/Bobcats

I usually have like 2 or 3 of those, but since there were 3 OT's, I got sloppy.

I'm trying to get an accurate head count on who wants to be in the next draft. I believe Durantula_MVP and z02 have expressed interest, are there any others?

Count me in. I think I don't have a player in your dynasty.

That makes 5, nice to see people still interested. Just a hint, when it comes time to send your info, don't all be PG's. The most success in this story has gone to Thirrry (SF), Sit (SG), Clutch (C) and C-77 (SG).

This year's class was mostly PG's and they are all struggling for minutes.

I've actually always been a true PG, but I guess I can rotate to SG anytime.

I've updated the rosters a bit and thanks to some great bench performances, some of you are now starters :

Julian Martin (LA Lakers)
Lenny Crabman (Grizzlies)
Dirk Brezhnev (Suns)

Wish you the best of luck! :)

Bosh teams with Wade in Miami, Beasley sent to Toronto.

Chris Bosh expressed the desire to play with Dwyane Wade and the Toronto Raptors granted his request, sending him to South Beach for Michael Beasley. The deal was a straight swap of the two players.

Bosh's numbers dropped massively compared to last season, from 26 ppg to 17.2. Bryan Colangelo stated, that he didn't believe Bosh was giving his all this season after signing an extension with the Raptors.

Beasley was having a good season, being a reliable 3rd scorer for the Heat. He will likely become the second option on offense in Toronto behind Jose Calderon, who is a having a career season, averaging 21.7 points.

Player stats :

Chris Bosh (91) : 17.2 PPG, 10.8 RPG, 2.5 APG, 0.80 SPG, 2.00 BPG
Michael Beasley (86) : 15.1 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 2.3 APG, 1.42 SPG, 1.92 BPG

Chicago gets their low-post scorer, acquire Boozer.

The Chicago Bulls have agreed to send Tyrus Thomas and Taj Gibson to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Carlos Boozer and rookie Rik Irbe.

Boozer brings much needed low-post scoring to Chicago. Boozer averaged 19.9 points for Utah this season.

In exchange, the Bulls will send Tyrus Thomas to Utah. Tyrus has started all 11 games for the Bulls, but his averages have been low thanks to the career renaissance of Brad Miller. Taj Gibson and Rik Irbe are also part of the deal, both are expected to stay with their current 11th-12th man role on their new teams.

Player stats :

Carlos Boozer (86) : 19.9 PPG, 11.1 RPG, 2.9 APG, 1.00 SPG, 1.14 BPG
Rik Irbe (71) : 2.4 PPG, 2.6 RPG, 0.4 APG, 0.25 SPG, 0.38 BPG

Tyrus Thomas (81) : 8.6 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 1.2 APG, 1.00 SPG, 1.55 BPG
Taj Gibson (72) : 0.0 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 1.0 APG, 0.00 SPG, 0.00 BPG

Redd goes for 45 in final day of 2011
12/31/11 - Bucks (115) - Suns (98)

    Image
Are Stoudemire's days in Phoenix over?.

Michael Redd shook off his 2-18 3PT performance against the Bobcats by shooting 7-8 from deep against the league-worst Suns. The Bucks were victorious on the final day of the year, 115-98.

Redd finished with 45 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds. He scored 18 points in the fourth quarter, as much as the whole Phoenix team. Hakim Warrick added another big effort with 25 points and 11 boards. Brandon Jennings had 14 points and 9 assists. Kyle Korver led the bench with 11 points, though shooting just 4-14 from the field and 1-4 from the line.

Amar'e Stoudemire led the Suns with 18 points and 14 boards, Jason Richardson had 23 points off the bench. Leandro Barbosa had 19 points. Dirk Brezhnev, the recently acquired F/C, was quiet with 7 boards.

The Suns had a huge second quarter, led by Jason Richardson to narrow a 14-point deficit to just 3. They narrowed it by 2 points more in the third. But in the fourth, there was no stopping Redd. He scored 18 points, 5-6 from deep, including a 4-point play. Brandon Jennings was the play-maker with 7 fourth-quarter assists.

Redd hit his first 7 threes before finally missing one late before being subbed out. The Suns are now 2-11 and Amar'e Stoudemire and Jason Richardson aren't happy. Both are seeking their way out, but no deal is imminent.

Good to see Redd is still capable of big games, at least in this dynasty. I like you keeping it with the current NBA by sending Bosh to the Heat and Boozer to Chicago. (Y) Ty Thomas and Beasley are very overrated by the game though. (especially Beas!)

Huge game by Redd! 7/8 from 3 is just incredible. The absence of Steve Nash really hurts the Suns, even with J-Rich and Stat still there.

Wow. It really does. Worst in the league at 2-11. Bad. (N)

Nice idea to mirror some of the real life acquisitions. Good job picking up the win, a much better night shooting the ball for Redd there.
