Udonis Haslem faces felony drug possession charges stemming from a traffic stop on a Miami-Dade parkway Sunday afternoon during which the Heat star forward and a friend were arrested.

The Florida Highway Patrol cited Haslem with felony possession of marijuana in excess of 20 grams. A passenger in the vehicle, Antwain Fleming, who acknowledged in the police report that the luggage containing the marijuana was his, was charged with misdemeanor possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.

Haslem's black 2008 Mercedes sedan was impounded after the arrest and the state Monday filed notice it will attempt to permanently seize the vehicle.

He's probably the best enforcer we have. It's good that we brought him back but sucks to see him with bit of offthecourt problem. Nothing more than that.

It's not like Haslem has been a known pothead even before he stepped on to a NBA court like Beasley. Some 'fan' you are, did you even bother to read the article?

Haslem, a Southwest Ranches resident, has not previously been linked to marijuana or other substance-abuse issues during his seven seasons with the Heat.

Haslem stated he was "not aware" of drugs in the vehicle and signed a consent form for a search, the report said. After an initial search, while awaiting the presence of canine search support, Haslem attempted to retract that consent, it said.

According to police documents, marijuana was found by police and a drug-sniffing dog in two places: in a black case under the driver's seat that contained three plastic containers with marijuana inside, and in a plastic container inside a blue nylon bag on the car's back seat.

Documents in the blue nylon bag had Fleming's name on them, and he stated the bag was his, the trooper wrote in his report. Fleming is not associated with the Heat.

Of course there are many possibilities to assume that it could either be Haslem's or his friend's. That Haslem was high that's why he agreed to the consent even if he knew about the pot in his car. Maybe he just bought a fresh batch from his friend, or his friend bought a batch from him, which would make Haslem a drug dealer. It's easy to jump to conclusions but exaggerating and being dramatic about it, "Oh noes! Why did Wade stand up for you, you pothead!" when the investigation isn't even over yet. Yeah, I think that can be considered hating (or cock sucking Wade) or ignorance or not bothering to read at all.

I think I already did that in some of my posts in those threads. The decent Chicago and Lakers fans here do read to know the story and not immediately jump to conclusions and ramble and exaggerate (sacrifice, myth, really?). As for Lakers fanboys, at least they are consistent in their nut hugging.

I still ain't much of a fan in his character, but I always thought he was the best player/talent in the league(benji/koberulz can confirm on this). Him coming to Miami, it's such an exciting news. How much of negative views you have on me, I couldn't careless. Being a bandwagoner of Lebron, perhaps a little bit, but that doesn't change what I've always liked about Lebron, his pure talent.
