Hi! Firs, i apologize my bad english.
Its extremely hard to hit 3pointer in nba live 2008. My opinion is, take a good shooter and go practice mode. Take about 3x10 3ptrs. If you are able to hit about 80-90% percent, then you get the right value. Every good shooter in nba can hit this much in real practice. I think that accurate slider value is 60-65 in superstar mode. Medium and short range shooting values are much lower.

Here are my sliders for 12min and superstar:

Global Sliders

Game Speed 25 (i like slower pace, but im european )
Free Throw Dif. 70 (depends how good are you. Its common, that you have to rise this value after some time)
Boundary Force 75

User Sliders

Steal 20 (its littlebit high, but i have bad habit to reach and try steal the ball. Because of that i use high reachin foul value. Sometimes you can steal, but sometimes if you player dont have high steal rating its foul.).

I apologize again, my english is bad, but i hope your understand. I get pretty realistic stats. Its important to adjust your game. If you pass sloppy and take wrong shots and layups, the balance in stats is gone.

I use that with some slight changes. Works pretty well IMO.

Haven't really tried any custom aiacts. I just use TUP10's aiact which is pretty good.

2k9 imitation is great but in my case..the game is uptempo..my game speed is 32

Yeh you can change some of them if you want. It's really up to you to decide how you want to play.
