Saw The Sorcerer's Apprentice on Friday, Get Him to Greek on Monday and Inception yesterday (Haven't gone to the movies for a while and had the chance to go).
The Sorcerer's Apprentice, cool special effects (the music part was great), but rather shallow. Wasn't disappointed on the movie itself, but there was a lot more potential. Usually don't like Nicolas Cage, but loved him here. Also, on some occasions, it was quite obvious it was a Disney movie, like
at the end after Balthazar died, he just couldn't die, they had to wake him up from dead. Also the final battle was rather disappointing, seemed incomplete, the awake of the dead looked cool, but they disappeared already after couple of brief moments. They could've used them a lot more. The mock character of Chris Angel etc (Horvath's assistant). was a brilliant idea actually.
Get Him to Greek, had some laughs, but don't remember exactly what I laughed about, still it was a decent flick.
Inception, wasn't planning to go to this in the first place (I don't like DiCaprio, except in "Catch me if you can"), but saw comments about it here, decided to give it a try. Brilliant movie indeed, but to be fair I was expecting slightly even more of it after reading all the reviews etc. before the movie. The casting was done great as well imo, didn't mind anyone (It was funny seeing Joseph Gordon-Levitt with a serious role, as I'm mostly used to seeing him in 3rd Rock from the Sun)
To put in order:
Inception
The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Get him to Greek
All differences are very small.
