observations:
cuttino mobley - allstar 3pt game, but his rating in 3's is 70.
fred jones - slam dunk champ, but can't dunk in the game.
allen iverson - nothing but layups.
horry - he still has laker ratings, i think he's pretty old for that over-al rating.

That's correct. The rosters are updated through February 20th, which means all trades up until the deadline are included.

Got a 404 from fileplanet when I tried to download! Anybody have problems?

That happens with FilePlanet from time to time. Generally going back in the browser and clicking the Download button again will work.

I'll boost his ratings. (Y)

Fred Jones should be able to dunk, as I definitely recall upping his ratings. I could have sworn I upped Mobley's three point rating in v1.04, but I could be mistaken. Horry and Iverson will be fixed in v1.06. :)

Too low:Boozer,McInnis,Cardinal,Claxton,Q.Richardson,Medvedenko,Redd,Dalembert
Too high:Mills,Pippen,Padgett,E.Griffin,D.Johnson,Horry,

I'll take another look at those players, though I can't guarantee I'll change their ratings significantly. Although overall ratings are important, I don't want to boost or reduce ratings simply to change the overall rating. In-game and simulated performance is a factor too.

I can adjust points per game, but the game's sim engine isn't perfect. I might not be able to adjust assists and rebounds without boosting player ratings unrealistically. I'll give it a shot though.

I can't say how many, but it will be be at least one a month, most likely more. There will have to be at least two updates in April.

I'm sorry, that isn't my patch. I cannot edit someone else's work and redistribute it. In any case, I'm not sure why you would want me to make two identical patches.

Chris Andersen and Manu should have body type 1...I would also look into both their quickness, speed, jumping and dunking ratings

I've edited these myself of course, but just a heads up...there are actually lots of changes that can be made

one thing I have noticed is the awarness ratings and passing ratings are a bit off overall

Andrew,

Could you correct Jordan's lower gear sleeve. You changed it to a knee guard but the more correct gear would be a multicolored sleeve type 1 on his left shin. That should give Jordan a black sleeve with the top part red.

Thanks.

I did actually mean to give MJ a sleeve, but I absent mindedly gave him a knee brace. I'll correct that. (Y)

I can't promise I'll definitely change all of their ratings as I do not want to change ratings unnecessarily simply to boost or decrease overall ratings (since ratings determine simulated performance in NBA Live 2004), but I will look at those players and consider changes were appropriate.

Andrew, the roster patch is well done. I just wondering, did u ever consider to add some news teams like
1 Western Rookies
2 Eastern Rookies
3 Dunk Team
4 3 point Team
5 Defence team
Things like that would be very cool. BTW, Denis Rodman in 96 Chichago is way too dark. In fact, his skin is not very dark.
Did u check the dunk contest winner, Fred Jones' jumping ability rating? He got 60 or something like that. He needs a boost obviously.

Excellent job, Andrew, as usual. I still have one issue, though, with a guy on my Knicks: the shooting range of Kurt Thomas is far more than 12'. The guy knocks it down from 15-17' almost automatically.

I'm not thinking about adding any more teams for the mean time, but I won't rule it out. I'll definitely be fixing Jones' dunking ability, and I'll see what I can do about creating a better looking Rodman.

You should make Wade better, raise his fg (5-6 points) and his dunk ratings (I made it and then got a 17 ppg sim Wade :) )

Kurt Thomas' range should be set at 18

Oh and how about some love for Brian Cardinal...at the very least a 54 overall rating.

this is how I have cardinal (edited your ratings andrew):

overall: 55
fg: 70
3pt: 65
ft: 88
dunk: 58
inside scoring: 50
off. rebounds: 50
strength: 49
quickness: 50
speed: 42
off awareness: 78 (for real)
def. rebounds: 57
steals: 55
blocks: 34
d awareness: 49
stamina: 50
primacy: 52

edit...nevermind i got it.

andrew, you really have to improve the bucks as a whole. they should be in the low 80's as a team (which i know isn't all that important). redd should be in the low-mid 70's...van horn high 60's...ford should be low-mid 60's...kukoc should be up just a bit (same with mason...1 or 2 pts). gadzuric should be in the low 60's, same with brian skinner. damon jones should be 50's-60's as well.

PS how do you change the range on players?

also make sure to hook up Brandon Hunter...up the strength and rebounding ratings, drop the free throw rating a bit, up the stamina, retouch other ratings slightly and you're set

I have been following this guy for awhile, so if you want me to post ratings, I am more than willing to do so

Oh and this is important I guess since it's actually a star's ratings

Elton Brand's rebounding ratings relative to Ben Wallaces:

off. Reb: 80-90...but elton brand is the best offensive rebounder in the league, statistically and practically....a 92 rating is not out of the question

Defensive rebounds: 76 to 99?? Come on man!! :) I got him at 85

Again this is all relative to your own ratings andrew

If you bring brand's rebounding ratings to 92 and 85, his overall rating will jump to 79 which is more than reasonable

:)
