How to install the streeball patch

how do i got about installin this patch?

if you mean "NBA Live Street" that was origionally made for NBA Live 2003 you cant use it for nba live 2004 you can only use the Legends Cyberfaces, Jerseys, Accessories and Shoes, you can't use Rucker Park, or the rosters. and i dunno of anny other street mods so please give me a link lol

he's talkin bout my "playground patch" because i couldnt name it the same thing as last year. i sent him an email, hopefully it helps, all people gota do is read directions :wink:

I got the patch installed and everything, but everytime I got to play with the teams, when the loading screen is supposed to come up, it shuts live down completely, why is this?

thats it i'm putting up a FAQ on the site. jeees, read the install lol. THERES A 5 CUSTOM TEAM LIMIT, so if u use a roster like ben's or andrews with custom teams u have to use the custom team switcher. EA's install will fix this.....

Yes you really should put up a faq or something, cuase i have manually fixed the rosters in with a dbf editor, and still starts up for me and resets back to desktop... Do i have to turn custom art on?? And if i do, it takes my game forever to start up... Help me please...

yes u have to turn custom art on, for every1 that doesnt know what thier doing just wait a week or so....and make sure to have ea's patch installed.

Im using Andrew's rosters, man when i turn custom art on my game hangs forever, is there any way around this?? To get the game to load faster, if custome art is turned on?

Thanks herb, that all you had to say, but still you instructions suck... So get mad, or sh*t a brick for all I care, I just thought the patch was cool, and really wanted to try it. Im trying to support your add on, and you act like a bad bussiness man... But whatever..

P.S. Can anyone tell me why it takes so long for the game to load, if i have custom art on?? Is there anyway around it?

lol well first off y u calling me herb? the names nick if you were wondering

and i know my instructions suck, thats y im re releasing it lol, i only released it like that because i was ina hurry and i've been busy with NCAA patch and school.

And yes i have that real buisness man atitude dont i :lol:

heh i'm 14, dont have an inch of buisness man in me....

If your upset about the instructions thats great, most people are, but dont complain that i didnt tell u what to do, after i tell u directly (meaning i told u to just wait till i re release)

EDIT: I uploaded a fixed install along with some other small updates for a quick fix for any1 who really wants to play with this now, if you want the globetrotters, cyberfaces, sagging pants and more your gona have to wait a bit...

Whoa im very sorry for everything i said. Wow you are only 14? Im sorry I acted very childish, im 23 I think thats amazing that people your age make these patches. Im a computer graphics graduate, maybe i should try to learn to do things. Thanks for your patch, and sorry for my rudness.

You didnt act childish at all, i've kinda had a frustrating day in school (had two tests, both 1/3 of my grade for the term and i didnt do so well

well i have tons and tons of free time, i always do my work while i'm in school (think of all that time teachers are talkin and most people just stare at a wall, instead i do hw and get it all done) so i have tons of free time after and this is just how i spend it when i'm bored silly and got nothing better to do :wink:

O ya and as for custom art:
Wait about a half hour after i edited this post and download the patch from file planet....custom art is no longer required, along with it's now compatable with euroleague and national team mods... (though if something goes wrong, which it may graphicly, you'll need to turn it on, if nothing goes wrong the only downside is that the NBA team wont be wearing thier team jerseys, they'll jsut use the 90's teams jerseys...)

I tried it out, and the teams have the jersey and and logos, but when i get ready to start the game where it ask what court to play at, and two players are standing there from a team, its just blanks back out to the desktop

do you have ea's latest patch? if not then dont install to a roster with any other custom teams included (ie the 1995 bulls)

EDIT Your gona have to turn custom art on, sorry bout that (i did mention this in the install :wink:

) for some eazip will claim that the viv file has gotten too big and it will not allow the install the court or stadium files. If you really dont want to use custom art you can simply just import the stadium and court files to the correct vivs with vivmagic/eagraph and it will work fine...

its because the game has to load art that is placed outside of the .vivs so it takes longer. thats y i say its necesary to get EA's patch, because the game wont hang with that......it will still load slow, but many patches use custom art so most people already deal with it...

Hello, I downloaded your playground add on, was excited to try it out but when i installed it, it hangs at the getnba2kx.exe cmd prompt.

my install dir is:

E:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA LIVE 2004

any help getting this installed? I'd like to try it.
