I was talking to a girl last night and she was saying she felt old etc, I asked how old she was and she said 21. She asked me and I said 23, then had to backtrack and correct myself. I'm already trying to take a year off my age, it is a slippery slope from here.

Oddly, I'm the opposite. I have a habit of rounding up to the age I'm turning.

Brother-in-law gave me a card today. it said "You're now closer to 30 than 20. Just something to think about." That's how 26 feels. Just that realisation turning over and over in your head.

EDIT: And also, (I shit you not, by the way) this is what the last week of my life has involved:

Wednesday: had to go to the optometrist, because I've been having trouble reading. So I've been prescribed reading glasses.
Today: At some point during the day, I don't know when, I got a really, really sore back. Possibly from sleeping funny, but I was fine when I woke up.

I turn the big 2-0 today. Although it's only been like an hour and I have to work in the morning, 20 may be the most tease/annoying birthday one can have. The legality of my soda drinking will have to wait another year I suppose
